Alright I've been wanting to get one of these setup for a long time, and I found a pretty good deal the other day, so I bought it. Its a KWA MKIV PTP NS2 1911 (jeez, could they have come up with a longer name?) and the AABB carbine conversion kit for single stack 1911's. The guy I bought this stuff from didn't send the stock grips for the 1911, so I had a friend make some (Pilots14) They are made from Bocote wood. The carbine was also missing a few screws, so I picked some up at the hardware store, still need to paint/cut them, and there is no front sight. The scuff marks covering "pro" on the slide are from the carbine kit, the way you rack the slide rubs on it and does that, I'm thinking about Duracoating the frame and slide in Colt Gray. Here are some pictures I took today:

1911 carbine will be added tomorrow when the sun is out for lighting.

Got shotgun?
1. Cause no one argues with a .73 caliber bullet.
2. Cause it is the most versatile weapon in existence.
3. Cause I can have three options, even if only two are relevant.

Hehe! Great minds think alike! :D its a shame you got rid of it though.! Would be cool to see whan kind of performance you could get out of such a gun.

My pistol has an effective range of around 250feet which is incredible for a pistol. Any further, and I'll have a hard time aiming accurately enough with just the iron sights and no stock. I would love it if such a kit was available for the double stack Hi-Capa series pistols.

Regarding the FPS you could just use the standard hammer spring and you would shoot somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 ish fps. Upping it form about 320 fps (stock power) to around 400. Needless to say, it is the barrel that makes most of the fps gain, but the hammer spring sure makes a difference too when dealing with such a significant extension in the barrel length (around 3x as long as the stock one).

Anyway, why'd you get rid of such a tacticool unit? Got an offer you couldn't refuse? :P

Just needed something different for an upcoming MilSim OP. I'm going on the insurgent side, and that pistol carbine isn't exactly what you see third world middle-easterners carrying around on the news, so I traded it straight up for a Classic Army RPK and a knockoff ChiCom vest, it should look the part just a bit better :P
