Chat Room #1 is an open to the public free-for-all chat room where all you need to do is type a screen name and start chatting.

Chat Room 1 - Open Java Chat

Chat Room #2 is a private flash chat - chat room that is private and only available to ASF forum members. You will need a forum account here to even view instructions on how to enter our private flash chat. In addition to being logged into the forum here to see the private flash chat system, you will need create a separate account for the flash chat room. You can use your same forum name if you like (that's preferred), but Please DO NOT USE your same forum password. Please choose a different password for the flash chat system.

Chat Room #2 - Private Flash Chat

In addition to creating a user name and password for the flash chat system, you will have to use the default user/pass combination to even see that area. This is just an added layer of protection to make sure that our private flash chat is only for ASF members. This user/pass combination for flashchat will be changed periodically, so please make sure that you provide a working email address if you want us to update you when we change it.

default user/pass combination for flashchat:
username: user
password: password

Correction: If it is your first time in flashchat, just go here, register and it will log you in. The "user" and "password" is just for authentication purposes should the dialogue box pop up.
