I was just wondering if anybody has ever used those airsoft paintball bb's? I've heard a lot of bad things about them being used with AEG's such as them popping and leaking into the gearbox and such. I wanted to know if this was even possible seeing as they'd have to go through an almost air tight piston to get to the gearbox right? I'm not sure. But does anybody have experience with these things? Tell me what you think about them... Especially with an AEG.. I'm getting a Classic Army AK-47 SLR-105 to be specific. Feedback anybody? Thanks.

yeah that's what I've heard as well... especially with a gun firing 320fps stock. I was just wondering because I was thinking of ways to play for money but when money's on the line I don't think people would be as honest. I dunno... Just thought it would be fun to bet.

No...Don't use them. Paintball bbs are strictly for springers....They are not sturdy enough to stand up to the pressure in an AEG. They will most likely break inside your gun, leaking inside the barrel and firing chamber. Whether or not, the paint gets to your gearbox doesn't really matter at that point. You can't fire if your firing chamber and barrel are filled with sticky, watery paint.

Plus, they are terribly inaccurate...

*EDIT* And airsoft will never be played for money....It's just not that kind of "sport". If it ever does evolve to the point where it can be played for money, I will definately not be playing anymore. You don't want to lose great guys like me.

No no no. Not like a sport like that. Like serious games for serious money. I'm talkin like a couple friendly teams making a friendly bet, not actual money fueled tournaments.. because that would bring a sleezy feeling to airsoft and really bum me out.. but liek a sniper match between a friend and I "I bet you 10 bucks I'll land a headshot on you before you land one on me." That kind of stuff. Because playing seriously for serious money would suck.
