I've got a question and would like an opinion from those that read the high quality shotgun section and care for things as much as I do. I have an ACM M500 shotgun that I really enjoy using, but would like to convert to an HPA rig because of the winter weather and for more consistent performance. Now as much as I like the gun, I know someday I will likely sell it for a different project or adventure. I was curious if you think an hpa rig would increase the value of the shotgun during sale, or decrease because people would find it more of inconvenient factor they have to get around to use? Would I he able to sell it without having to give up my regulator, tank and hose? Thanks for the input.
P.s. If anyone has some friendly advice or hints to running an hpa tank, shoot me a pm, it would be much appreciated. This post has been edited by usamarine55: Jul 26 2011, 12:29 PM -------------------- Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

It'd increase the value. It's exactly as fatboy said; anyone who doesn't want the rig can obviously just buy the shotgun without it anywhere. But the rig costs money and takes time and labor to install. Some people don't want to put up with this process, so it's a plus to be able to buy one with it installed already.
Using an external rig has plus sides to fight the downsides. So if people try to tell you that it should decrease value, they obviously don't know the plus sides of using an external rig. If it were a big downside, no one would be using them. And if you plan on selling it you should include everything, because everyone will see it as a parts gun since they have that mentality "Oh man...so I have to go out and buy more stuff in order to shoot it?" First thing people want to do when they get a gun at their front door is rip the box open and shoot it. If you really want to increase the value though, you should buy real steel cocking arms, and modify them to fit. People are always skeptical about the ACM m500, especially pre owned because of the pot metal cocking arms(Yeah I know, I'm getting a bit off topic). Just my thoughts. I think it'd be a great way to make the shotgun a bit more unique as well! -------------------- Shotgunner by choice, not by budget.
