I know the answer already but I'm desparate, so I'll ask anyway:
Will this fit my Ics AK74? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4057 Could I dremel it? This post has been edited by diddlesAK: Mar 16 2010, 09:33 PM -------------------- AKs=the best.

In short: no. Absolutely not.
In long: The ICS AK series' handguard locking mech is VERY similar to the RS - it literally takes 2-3 movement of pins to get both handguards out, as it does on the RS IIRC. The TM/CYMA series requires removing the entire front sight assembly, then gas tubes, THEN the handguards. Second, because of the ICS' similarity to the RS, a section of the upper gas block is actually one piece with the handguard - the two are completely separate pieces on the TM/CYMA system. -------------------- ![]() |

Try to find a RS wood kit and mod it to fit, it is usually cheaper and better looking.

OK the pins don't affect the handguard actually just the pieces holding the handguard in place. Thanks for the help tho. There's a lot of cutting involved in the stock. Also, RS grips won't work since airsoft AK grips are a lot fatter to accommodate the motor cage.

Is the ICS wood kit the only one that will fit an ICS? YES .....as we keep telling you everytime you put up another thread about the exact same thing RS will fit it with modification I believe. depending whether you have the proper tools or not. the stock will need long fat drills to hollow out. the stock and the grip will be hard to get hollowed out properly kav posted a link to a 25 dollar rs woodkit in one of this guys previous treads about this How many times do I have to say it? https://www.apexgunparts.com/product_info.p...roducts_id/1208 It's real steel and it's cheap. I know dude. we keep telling him the same thing over and over again in each one of his threads but I guess he doesnt like the truth bottom line.... save yourself a lot of hassle and just pony up the money for the ics woodkit people are going to get tired of you asking the same thing over and over again and telling you the same answers over and over and then you putting up another thread to ask the same thing as if somebody will lie and tell you what you wanna hear next time and youll be so much happier with a woodkit thats of better quality and looks and actually fits your gun properly rather than a jacked up mod job This post has been edited by Dusti69: Mar 17 2010, 03:13 AM -------------------- |

Wow thanks that's awesome! But that and Kavurcen's recommendation look like they are REALLY different from the notches and stuff on my current stock and handguard. I would have to knock off the whole piece that's sticking out of the front of the stock. I found an ICS for $85 on airsoftarms. Is that a good site. And Dusti... thanks for the help and sorry for asking so much but don't get mad at me for asking a questions. That's what a forum is for: asking and discussing. You never said the ics was absolutely my only option. First I asked where to get a wood kit cheap, then I asked this. That's it. OK forget it. I won't post about this anymore. I thought my threads were all on different topics, but all related to upgrading my gun. And I posted 2 wtb adds and got no responses on the first one but wanted to add more stuff. So I thought no one would look at my old thread cuz it was old so I started a new one. Sorry for inconveniencing every one. I realize it would get annoying to see the same stuff over and over. I was just a little impatient and will try to do better. Thanks for the help though. Next time I'll just keep to one thread and ask more questions in that thread. (I'm kind of new to the forum thing if you haven't noticed)
My last question: why does asgi suddenly no longer have the wood kit??? This post has been edited by diddlesAK: Mar 18 2010, 09:44 PM -------------------- AKs=the best.

You reply to your own wtb thread saying bump or what ever moving it to the top of the WTB area. Also you can edit your posts and threads.
