Hi, I have been looking for my first AEG to use in the woods. I have been looking at ares, G&G, SRC, m4's but I am not sure which one is better. Also im thinking about the 415 FPS JG GEN-4 Full Metal Gearbox R36C Tactical AEG Assault Rifle . Thanks

What's your budget for a gun? G&G is a solid gun from what I've heard, I would most definitely buy one over a JG or SRC. The gun I always recommend for woodland fighting is the CYMA M14, super good quality for the price, and complete replica for the TM version.

Im looking at CYMA M14(http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/CYMA_Full_Metal_Gearbox_M14_Wood_AEG_CM_032_p/cyma-cm032-wood.htm.) Looks nice, how fast does it shoot? Is it durable? Thanks for your help. |

Thanks for your help. It's super durable, I've had mine for four years so far, and I've upgraded it into a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle). Out of the box, the CYMA shoots at about 350fps, with a range of 150ft-170ft. Glad to help! P.S. If I were you, I'd upgrade the Hop-up with a Systema bucking to improve accuracy, it's an easy DIY job as long as you watch a take down video. The Systema bucking will greatly improve the accuracy and trajectory of the bb. Good luck! Is there a difference between the wood one and the black socom one? Does the black one have metal instead of the wood? Also I want to get a another gun for my dad but a different one In the $120 price range. Got any more sugestions? Thanks |

Thanks First of all, the wood model is actually just plastic, not real wood; I've handled both guns, and personally think the black SOCOM one feels nicer. Oh, and both the guns have full metal receivers and barrels with a nice plastic stock. As for your dad, I really have no idea what to recommend, but any gun by CYMA would be a safe bet. -------------------- Hydrate or die

I'm looking to buy one of these now, or the SOCOM version I'm not sure. I'll mostly be playing in the woods and maybe in a house on a friends property (which would probably be a tad difficult with this gun). So if you get this gun I'd like to know how it works. thanks!
Edit: Found someone that answered my questions somewhere else. http://www.airsoftforum.com/forums/top...032-m14-review/ p.s. first post, sorry if this is hijacking your post I just figured it would be better to comment in here. This post has been edited by errata: Feb 10 2012, 06:56 PM |
