Hello, and since I know you're wondering... Here is the reason we made this Dumb Questions Area...

First of all, it is not intended to embarrass or insult you or any of the members who you will find in these threads because all of us are guilty of asking dumb questions. Including myself. Just over 2 years ago, I had no idea what an Airsoft gun even was. I just chose to listen as opposed to speak and while sometimes not being able to control myself - I asked many dumb questions..

My favorite line to use was, "Well I know this is a dumb question, but I’m gonna ask it anyway". In fact I still use that line all the time :) The problem is, however; that we only have a certain number of moderators and a gazillion members (sarcasm intended) and they are human too. And being Human, they get tired of answering the same questions 100 times a day, so we thought that we would create an area where we could move threads that we felt could have been answered by simply using one of the many search tools at the top of the page.

The problem with that though is that many new people are not familiar with or know how to use some of our search tools and so the "dumb questions" get invariably asked anyway. One thing that is kind of confusing with the search features above is that:

1. The Google search bar is helpful for searching both; this board as well as the Internet
2. The Fido search is useful for getting a completely different set of results as it gets its feeds from different sources other than Google
3. The board search link in the top right will search only posts on this website from the last 30 days and only look in the last forum you were in unless you tell it otherwise and therefore many people are not able to find what they're looking for here (so they think).

So anyway, please don't take offense to what you find in here and in fact, you may find a lot of it humorous and very helpful.
