So far, I've found two associations that are dedicated to the practical shooting side of airsoft:

American Airsoft Practical Shooting (AAPS): http://www.aaps-federation.org/

and

United States Airsoft Practical Shooting Association (USAPSA): www.usapsa.org

From what BattlePriest said, the latter is basically used to market MadBull's stuff. Anyone heard of the former one? I checked out their website and they really have nothing up and running. You go to their store and nothing is really for sale.

Based on the ver. Dates on their rules and regs documents, It appears that they are brand new. Or at least their website is. I've never heard of them before...and I've been looking at this kind of stuff forever. So either they ARE brand new, or they have been staying relatively local and under the radar on the net for a while.

I wish them luck though.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your interest in the AAPS, a brand new BB IPSC association, member of IAPS, the (also brand new) International Airsoft Practical Shooting Federation. You may wish to visit the AAPS data in the IAPS web site at http://forum.airsoft-shooting.org/viewforum.php?id=14

For more on the IAPS Federation, please feel free to have a look at http://www.airsoft-shooting.org/

Thank you.

AAPS (American Airsoft Practical Shooting) is a new organization and, like all new organizations, it takes a little while to get everything together. The Web site does a pretty good job of describing what the organization is about and will soon be open to accepting memberships. We are currently finalizing an insurance contract to cover members and local leagues and cannot accept memberships until this process is completed. The Forum, however, is already open to anyone interested in airsoft practical shooting.

The AAPS Store is not a conventional online store, but rather is meant to be a place to aggregate buying information for airsoft practical shooting equipment and supplies. We search for good places to buy items like holsters, mag pouches, etc. that are suitable for airsoft use and then provide links to these sources. This should be more fully populated in a few days.

Thank you so much for your post. Please let us know if there are any changes to your website such as the opening of the online store or the start of excepting applications for membership. Heck, I can't wait! Thanks! a-thumbsup.gif

Aloha from Hawaii!

I been in contact with AAPS. This the organization to go with, Rules and regs have been established and they are backed by the international organization.

I am trying to get something going here in hawaii and AAPS rules and regs are the way to go. They seem to have everything covered

It's a year later, and http://www.aaps-federation.org/ has grown.

They have "Postal Matches" and a forum. The site is definitely worth a visit.

USAPSA has disappeared.
