I was bored, so I made up this glossary of an airsoft forum:
A in A1, A2, etc: Alternation # ACP : Automatic Colt Pistol ACOG: Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight AE: "Action Express" the name to the new real steel 50. cal pistol round. The term has no relevance in airsoft. AEG: Automatic Electric Gun AEP: Automatic Electric Pistol AK: "Avtomat Kalashnikova" Soviet-designed assault rifle series AR: Automatic Rifle or Automatic Rifleman AUG: "Armee Universal Gewehr" Steyr made bullpups. Affirmative: Yes or Ok BDU: Battle Dress Uniform Bunny hop: Tactic of jumping while moving to avoid getting hit Black Gas: Completely mythical airsoft gas. Bullpup: Describes a rifle where the action is in front of the magazine. Camper(s): A player who sits in one location for a period of time. Generally, defensive camping is considered good form, while camping while on assault is considered bad form Carbine: A Shortened version of a non-Carbine rifle CA: Classic Army Co2: Air propellant used for airguns CO: Commander (or Commanding Officer) Check Fire : Check where you're firing Often given because you feel you're being fired on a friendly. Similar to cease fire Chronograph: A device that measures projectile speed, commonly used in airsoft. Cook: To burn time from a grenade fuse before throwing (ie, cook your grenade before throwing) Clip: The lazybutt's word for Magizine. See "Mag".
