My Content
I'm new to airsoft. I started to collect around June 2010. Originally I wanted to collect gun replicas, such as props/non-firing guns, I only knew about the pop cap guns and spring loaded BB guns back in my day. But then I learned about BB guns which used batteries and this peaked a very high interest with me. Currently I have a JG M4A1 Enhanced, Echo1 P90 and ICS MP5SD6. I love learning about how an airsoft gun functions. I like to take them apart and put them back together. In two months I have learned how to open up and put together both the P90 and M4 gearbox. I would like to rewire the internals someday along with changing the battery connections to deans(DONE!). If I happen to get that far then the next step is to create mosfets!!!
My own timesheet for personal reasons. 2010 - Echo1 P90 Timeline: Mid June: Echo1 P90(arrived DOA from airsoftgi)>>Warranty Echo1 Early July: Returned from Echo1 RMA in working condition Mid July: (P90 starts to misfeed/jam) Early August: (Learn about P90 GB and attempted first fix/upgrade) (P90 jams less frequent) Mid August: P90 doesn't shoot...Motor problem, too weak to pull spring, moved motor to JG M4. Replaced with another used motor and problem solved! End August: Installed new G&P piston, used sp110 spring and new bravo silent piston head. Rewired gearbox with 16 gauge silicone wire (heat issues are gone! battery lasts much longer! amazing!!) Also added male dean connections. 2010 - JG M4A1 Timeline: Early August 2010: Arrival of a used JG M4A1(internal) M&P Smith&Wesson(external) Tested and high pitch screeching sound Mid August 2010: Gear box inspection, motor tore up black wire. No shimming, gear scratch marks. Piston teeth destroyed. Motor pinion has wear. Replaced with used parts from a TM GB: wire trigger set, piston, piston head, spring, cylinder, tappet plate and the motor from P90. Added new cylinder head. Reshimmed/Regreased. Learned how much I hate the anti-reversal latch. M4 now works great, lucky me. 2010 - Elite ICS MP5SD6 Timeline: Late August: Arrival of used Elite ICS MP5SD6 (both internal/external) with AB Mosfet and madbull black talon 6.03 tight bore barrel Early September: Tested, all is good. (Future gearbox inspection) -------------------- >_<;;; HIT!!!
