***EDIT BY ADMIN*** This post along with this entire topic is about to get a major overhaul. I will adjust this topic tomorrow when I have more time..

ASF needs more moderators. Now would be an excellent time to apply. If you've given becoming a moderator some thought or would just like to help out ASF more, please take your time and fill out this application form, as thoroughly and honestly as possible. Every application will be taken into consideration, if you do get voted in, you will receive the Potential Moderator status. Again, this is just an application process, you are not guaranteed a position on the mod team if you apply. Please follow instruction below.

The current staff needs to know what you are capable of to get a good judgment on whether you will be a good mod candidate or not.

Requirements:
Age-18+ is preferred, but exceptions can be made.
Experience-Experience on other forums is not mandatory, but the more experience you have, the more of a chance you will have at getting a moderator position.
Willingness-You must truly be willing to do your job if you accept the moderator position. No half-assing the job, you have to be willing to work and to learn.
Loyalty-If you're going to be a moderator, you have to be loyal. It is preferred that you not be in a current staff position on any other airsoft site.
Professionalism- An ASF mod should look, act, and be professional. Maturity is key.

Please take time on your application, and go in an order such as this:

"Hello, my name is _________. My current age is __________. I've been playing airsoft for ____ long. I have experience at _____________ and _________. (if you don't, state that.) Please tell us why you would like to become a moderator, what you will do to help ASF and its members, and what you plan on achieving while being a moderator here at ASF.

Other notes:
Basically what we are asking for is a short essay. Figure 1/4 - 1 page. We want to know about you. Your strengths and weaknesses, your skills, your airsoft history, and your experience. Brag a little, but make sure you tell the truth. We may try to verify some of the information. Impeccable grammar and spelling is not required, but passable grammar is. Please notify us in the essay if English is not your first language.

If your application is approved, you will then be moved to P-mod status. From there we will then determine if and when you will become a moderator.

Pay attention here:

1. Applications should be sent to 2 different staff members: Aimfor1337 and NGOB. Make sure you send it to both of us. (To do so, please address it to one of us, and then put the other name in the carbon copy box above, that is what that box is for. It will then send 1 pm to both of us.)
2. Title your PM as follows: Moderator Application <insert username>
3. Please notify us by saying: App. incoming or something of that sort in this topic. Depending on the amount of applications, it may take a day, 2 days, or even a week before your application is approved or denied, so please be patient.

Additional Information offered by a wise man (Allizard): Being a mod isn't a status symbol, your job is to serve the community. Lots of times you'll get frustrated when dealing with people and that's quite annoying. At the same time you'll have to be professional, polite and mature when dealing with various issues. If you have a quick temper or type before you think. you're probably not a good mod candidate. If you are an censored2.gif-kisser, you shouldn't be a mod. You need to have good judgment and good common sense. You also need to get familiar with the forum rules and a find good team member to work with as your peer. Take must your responsibility seriously.

Thank you for your time,
-ASF Staff
