BattlePriest:
Battlepriest..... wierd name?...well yes I actually am a priest. Ordained by the Universal Life Church in Modesta CA. Although anyone who wants to can get ordained, legally by the ULC. I have and do actually use my ordination as a priest. I have performed 2 weddings and have been know to be a spiritual guide for some. I also bill myself as the unnoficial Airsoft Combat Chaplain (If you cant have fun with who you are, whats the point in having fun right?)

My team Geeks with Guns so has about 4 active members, myself and my best friend Yod9 being the founders. At our largest, we had 6 active members, but we seem to have trouble finding people to join us, because we arent in a position to play every month, or even every big game of the year in the Chicago area. Our recruiting policy restricts us to team members over the age of 18, if for no other reason than legal responsibility, but also because we simply want to have a team of adults who at least have some life experience. I do admit that I have met some players under the age of 18 who are very very good, and carry themselves quite well.

GWG Arsenal (list incomplete)
http://gwgairsoft.airsoftspecialists.com/armory.htm

I am also the owner/administrator of http://www.airsoftspecialists.com , an airsoft product review site. I have several reviews and articles there, so please have a look.

I am also a budding Airsoft Videographer, and have published several videos to date...You can see most of them if you look around our Videos sub-forum in the Airsoft photos and Images section.

Our home field used to be Challenge Park in Joliet IL. http://www.challengepark.com They have recently ceased hosting of airsoft events but they are currently the best venue in the country for paintball and they were that be for airsoft for at least a year.

There are also 2-3 other fields nearby that are privately owned and cost nothing to play on. the CAA (chicago airsoft association) is the organizer of several of them. There are also event hosted by Aggressive Sport Joliet, both monthly Skirmishes and 2 day scenario events at various fields in the Chicago Area. We also have lately the local CAA team Sparrow unit, hosting public games at locations such as Paintball Blitz in Gurnee Illinois. With all these choices, there is a relatively good sized game to go to (20-60 players) at least twice a month in the Chicago area.

I started out in Paintball. From about 1990 to 1999. I played on a store sponsored team in various Amatur paintball tourneys. "The Mercenaries" sponsored by "Duck's Blind Paintball" In Davenport IA. I started out playing indoor CQB at the Ducks Blind indoor field which was true indoor urban combat. It was built into a 3 story hotel/motel/apartment building in downtown Davenport. I have 2 trophies from tournaments played in that indoor field. They eventually got shut down by the city though, cause they didnt like the paintballers hanging out on the sidewalks at the end of the day. I eventually quit playing Paintball due to the rise in popularity of the "speedball" genre and the neon colored guns and gear. I was in it for the tactical and combat simulation and not becuase it was an extreme sport.

Hmm lets see, did I leave anything out?.. Oh yeah, Im a Technician/Engineer working as a Biomechanics Research tech.

Thank you for starting this topic BattlePriest, it is an excellent idea.

This is very interesting to read about you guys. You all have quite a selection of Airsoft gear, and your posts are excellent. By giving some background on your product knowledge and a little history about yourselves, you add a ton of credibility to your posts. I look forward to your future comments on this board.

As for me, I am fairly new at AirSoft Gaming. I have been collecting military gear, assault gear, hi-tech gadgets & real weapons for about 15 years. For security reasons I can't really list any of that here, but my collection could probably outfit a small Platoon. I'm currently a Signal Support Systems Specialist in the Army Reserves and have 3 years left on my contract. That's basically a fancy name for radio guy and network administrator. I've studied NBC (Nuclear, Biological, & Chemical > for newbies), taken Military Intel classes in Surveillance, Counter-Surveillance and Direction Finding.

In August of this year (2003) I will be taking part in a Military Police Reclassification School for a couple weeks which by the way, will leave this board without an admin person for 18 - 20 days unless we can find more help between now and then.

Anyway, I was in a gun shop one day looking for another sub-compact 9 handgun for a CCW (aka concealed carry permit > for newbies) that I was about to get at the time when the guy behind the counter said to me, "excuse me sir - but I am going to fire this in the store so don't be alarmed…" He was holding what appeared to be a UZI SMG. I was like… "WHAT THE #@$%"

Before it had time to even register what was about to happen, he squeezed off a few rounds and to my surprise, it was not a real gun though it looked quit real! Well, imagine my excitement when I saw the advantage of being able to fire an SMG indoors! From that moment on, I was at every gun show and all over the Internet to find out as much information as I could on this thing called "Airsoft".

Soon thereafter, I met some guys at a gun show who happened to live not too far from me who were actual Airsoft dealers and would import these into the United States. For the next few months, I became one of their sub contractors to help them sell guns to stores.

I played a few Airsoft events and learned quite a bit about this hobby. Needless to say, but I was hooked. Being a dealer afforded me the opportunity to handle and learn quite a bit about many of the brands, makes and models, though I did not start this board to sell products from.

This board was created to bring together people from all over the world such as yourselves, who share this same love for one of the coolest military simulated training aides, (or what ever you like to call it) - that I have ever seen

Hello everyone,

Nice web site, Battle Priest! Well done! You are very serious. We, down here in Indonesia are no longer enjoying paintball games like that anymore. Most professional paintball player are only interested in extreme sport style game with sup air balls, and they avoid battle simulation games.

Let me introduce myself, I am a video editor to an IT company in Indonesia. I am also a military enthusiast who enjoys airsoft skirmish games, military history, collecting military uniforms, and re-enactment activities.

My gear up to now is a TM H&K MP5 A5 with a surefire handguard, red dot sight, and laser sight without any upgrade to the spring an neither the battery.

My other guns are a Maruzen MP5K, Kuan Ju Works P8, KJW USP, TM Luger (air cocking) and many other springers from XM-177 air-cocking replicas to side arms air-cocking plastic replicas. The brand may vary from KWC, UHC, etc.

I once owned a TM H&K G3/SG1 previously and I wrote a review for the replica in my personal website at http://ony.airsoftland.com/reviews/tokyo_marui_g3.htm

Unfortunately the review was written in Bahasa Indonesia, but I believe you can enjoy the pictures as I put many walk-around pictures of my previous TM H&K G3/SG1. I also put Carl Zeiss Diavari DA riflescope diagram that is commonly used by real G3/SG1 or MSG-90.

I also owned a TM H&K MP5A4 and TM H&K MC51 as well, but for some reason due to my father's illness at the hospital last year, I had to sell them. Both of them were never used by myself for airsoft skirmish, actualy...

I am glad to find this airsoft forum as I believe that I will have new friends who are willing to share their experiences in playing airsoft guns

An introduction huh? Alright, here goes :-D

I'm a 22 year old student at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. I currently have an associates degree in Graphic Design, and am working towards a BA in Animation. I am originally from Vermont, though my family moved around a lot when I was younger.

I have been a paintball player since my senior year in high school. I currently use a Tippman 98 with a flatline barrel. I have considered adding the new reactive trigger to the gun, but I would have to send it back to the factory (I bought it right when it came out). I have never played Airsoft, but since I love paintball, I'm sure I'll love airsoft as well, even though I'm sure there are huge differences in how the two games are played.

The main things that have kept me from buying airsoft equipment are lack of money, and not knowing where in my area airsoft can be played. Thus far I have not been able to convince my fellow paintballers to get into airsoft, though one of my friends does like the idea of having pistol matches with airsoft. Maybe if we ever get around to that I'll be able to get them into it more. Any advice that anyone can offer about anything airsoft would be much appreciated

I chose this name because I got shot at with a paintball marker in the leg at pointblank, it really stung like a bee and broke the skin, never played paintball so my friend did the shooting, I chose airsoft over paintball because you can't freaking aim paintballs since there are no sights, there is an ugly feeder attached to the upper receiver, the painballs are sensitive to temperature, they can't shoot far because the ball might explode in the barrel, and you got too many problems with the equipment in that game.

Anyway, I am born in Taipei, Taiwan, moved to Hong Kong then immigrated to Coquitlam BC, Canada when I was 2 years old where I still live  :) . I am very new to airsoft, I never even knew such a game even existed, I love to look at real firearms, I know a bunch about them, I also like to fix cars and raise my fitness level. I am 17 yrs old, most of the time I am depressed cuz' my family sucks  :( . I am graduating from high school next year, I hope to get a degree in computer science so I can make a crap load of cash, I am looking for a part time job that suits me, I have no car, but I got a learners license, I do not own any firearms or air guns though I wish I do.  Even Though I think I know alot about firearms, I do not know jack pain.gif about airsoft stuff, I am sooooo new that nobody can stand me!  blink.gif    lol.gif

Greetings:

I suppose I'll add my own into this. I'm Dughal, and I've been playing airsoft since 1987 when I learned about them while I was living in Japan. I had been collecting model guns for a few years before that, and shooting at the range with my parents since I was 9, so I was familiar with firearms from very early on. I joined the Marines in 1986, and was sent to Okinawa for two years in 1987. While wandering through the hobby shops, I saw the same model guns that I was used to collecting, but they also had some that actually fired a projectile, and I was immediately hooked. We werent supposed to have them in the barracks, but we did anyways, and used to play just about anywhere we could get away with it, including the halls of the barracks. Since we weren't allowed to ship them with our equipment back to the US, I sold them off. Once back in the US starting finding places that I could get them here.

I have been actively playing since 1987, and have seen the guns go through many changes. Most of the early ones were NBB pistols, or rifles that required external gas. Once the AEG's were mainstreamed, I got into those as quick as I could get my hands on them. I've played with many teams, of all age groups, in most every scenario and terrain, and will continue to do so for quite some time.

At this time, I have the most guns that I have ever had at one time: 16 guns (not counting spring pistols) with 8 AEGs, 7 GBBs, and one spring rifle. This number fluctuates, as I am often buying and selling them, but I seem to have a few too many right now. My girlfriend tolerates this, as she knows it's one of the hobbies that I truly enjoy. By sheer neccessity, I've had to learn how to maintain, repair, and upgrade just about every type / brand of gun out there, to the point that I often have custom parts machined out for me.

I'm 35, live in North Carolina, and served 6 years in the USMC working on / flying in C-130 in-flight refuellers.

Well.. that's it in a nutshell, I suppose.

Well, my alias here in this forum is of course Razor8 nothing significant about it jus that I thought razor was a cool name :P . I would say im jus now getting into AIRsoft. jus like most male kids im guessing, I had an interest with weapons and things that are risky and violent a a sense but cuz of my parents :( . I never got to have anything that shoots or in that case anything that can hurt me plasma.gif .

I prefer to claim myself as "Ghost Stalker" in the field  B) . I mostly use it on video games but I like it and would make it a nick name for myself.

Hopefully in the near future I will be playing on the field and probably going to those fields more populated with veteran Airsoft players in the midwest.

Cant wait to get my hands on my first Airsoft gun. I think a modified P90 will do good for a beginner, right BP? :D
Umm..thas bout it I think

Guess I'm the late comer to this topic. Oh well, here goes anyways:

My call sign on the board is pain.gif Watson, though my real name is Clay. The call sign has a story behind it that would not be funny to anyone who didn't know my former boss, sorry. I live in Atlanta GA, and go to Georgia Tech. I am a 2nd year. Currently, one of my fraternity brothers has started an airsoft club at Tech, and we are desperately trying to get funding from different people, including the school.

As for my experiences with airsoft and related items....
I grew up in the city, but every weekend for half the year, my father would take me out to backwoods Georgia where we would go hunting together. He taught me many important things, like basic survival skills, tracking skills, and proper gun safety. When I was in high school, I picked up on paintball, playing mil-sim games with a WIDE range of guys near our school. We took over a good 200 acres of undeveloped land for about a year, building bunkers, forts and playing hardcore games including many over-night games. However, after a while many people started drifitng towards the more "extreme" speedballing and things of that nature. This lost all of it's luster for me. I still have a Spyder Shutter, and play everyonce in a while when I can find a group of guys who want to play in the woods. do not get me wrong, I really have no problem with "extreme" paintballing, it's just not for me.
About two summers ago, one of my friends showed me a USP. It looked rather real, and I was shocked when he told me it shot plastic BB's. I was wuickly hooked and went out and got my own crappy USP springer. Many of the guys in the neighborhood did the same, and soon we were plastering our backyards with BB's. It then escalated from there, when the first guy got a GBB. Then came the AEG's. I had to go to college though, so I clung to my USP. When I found the GTAirsoft club formed by my fraternity brother, I went out and bought an MK-1 Gas sniper rifle. However I am currently trying to sell that, and replace it with something from the G3 series, preferably a G3Aa4.

So there is my brief background in airsoft and otehr events. As for me personally, I am a second year International Affairs major. plan on doing either coorporate networking, or diplomatic relations. I am focusing on Japan, about to start learning the language, and have been takling culture and govt. classes.

Anything else ya want to know, just ask...
Later,
Clay

My callsign is ardrummer292 (hmmm... imagine that!) because my initials are "ar" and I'm a drummer. The "292" is my piece of flair, I guess. I just don't like talking about my flair. (Office Space, anyone?)

... Right. On with the introduction.

I've been into airsoft for a little over a year now. I got hooked back in May 2004, when one of my buddies mentioned that he was getting a submachine gun. Being a true gun idiot at that time, I asked, "Ya mean like a Glock, or an AK47, or a sniper rifle?" He commenced to beat me in the face for my utterly ignorant comment, then thoroughly described his beloved KWA Mac11. Needless to say, I was intrigued. He invited me to a game at his buddy's house over the weekend; I accepted his invitation. My life hasn't been the same since. We played a gas pistols-only game of capture the flag, where you got shot until you couldn't take the pain any more and dropped the flag. I LOVED IT! First thing I got home, I scoured Shorty USA, Airsoft Atlanta, and JungleToy for a potential first gun.

The rest is history. Live and learn, buy used and pay dearly, spend countless hours on this forum asking and answering questions, etc. I've had an excellent experience with the people on this forum and am very grateful for how much they've taught me. All that's left is to finally buy that P^3 M134A2 minigun I've been lusting after for so long!

I can do this...

I've used the alias "Lacessit" for quite some time, begining in the video game world. Taken from the motto Nemo me impune lacessit from the Order of the Thistle, I chose this from the reference in Edgar Allen Poe's story, The Cask of Amontillado.

I've participated in fairly active pass-times for most of my life including: rock-climbing, SCUBA diving, hiking, mountain biking, camping, and hunting. While I was stuck in Cincinnati Ohio, working long hours in a city enviroment, I fell into the world of on-line gaming and a Half-Life modification called Firearms for 6 years. I heard airsoft mentioned in passing by a few players, but felt it was far to cost prohibitive. Then, in early 2004 while visiting my cousin, I was shown his MP5sd5. I was instantly fascinated, and probably drove him nuts asking when he was going out again. Finally, in July we managed to get our schedules synchronized and I borrowed an AEG and went for a scrimmage of 5 vs 5. By the end of that week I was doing research on buying an AEG, joined this forum soon after and have since tried sucking it dry of all information.

My young arsenal has so far included, a TM MP5 RAS, which I sold as it was just not in my play style, to buy a TM G3sg1 (my baby). I also have a TM M9 Tactical Master, and bought another to fix up along with a KSC G18c that needed just a bit of work.

Tinkering has always been fun for me, and working on airsoft replicas fits the bill nicely. Though I'm not by anymeans an airsoft gunsmith yet, I'm currently working to customize my sg1, and continue to expand on my collection.

My name is Jesse, aka TriChrome. I live in New Jersey. I started out going to college for Mechanical Engineering, transferred to a college in Philadelphia where I graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Design (Product Design). I've worked primarily as a Web/Graphic/Package designer, and am also trained in 3d rendering and drafting.

I first got into guns when I was 18 years old when I drove over the state line into Pennsylvania to buy a pellet gun (since you need an actual firearms license in NJ to own a BB/Pellet gun). I don't like real guns, but love the Airsoft guns because I can shoot people with them (with proper eye protection), can use the guns on my secluded backyard property, and ammo is incredibly cheap; plus there’s no noise to scare anybody.

I got into Airsoft because I saw a realistic looking Glock springer at the local Columbus Flea Market, and bought it for $20. Needless to say, it broke in about 3 days, but I had tons of fun in that short period of time. About a year after that I bought a Y&P NBB M9 from Ebay for $40, and that one broke in a couple of weeks. Another year went by, and I was bored one day so I decided to browse the internet and found the website of RedWolfAirsoft which showed me the world of GBB's and AEG's. So in December of 2004 I bought a KSC Glock 18C, dropped around $900 into mags, spare parts, accessories, supplies, etc., then bought a KWA M11A1, TM M9, and a KSC Glock 19. All of them broke. After that I gave up GBB's and bought my first AEG a TM G36C around 6 months ago, and I'll never go back to GBB's.

I now own a stock TM G36C for CQB/backup/loaner gun, a TM Glock 18C AEP as my sidearm, and a 460 FPS G&P SR-16 M4 as my woodland primary. I gear-up in a Blackhawk LBE Harness equipped with Blackhawk and Tactical Tailor pouches.

I play at the Wrightstown Airsoft field in Wrightstown, NJ. I don't belong to any team, nor do I want to. I've gotten my brother and cousin playing with me as well, and we try to play at least 2 games a month. Attendance fluctuates from around 20 people minimum to 45+ at the larger games.

Ooh, introductions!

I'm Megan, or 'Megs', slowly wasting away in Bangor, Maine. I'm depped in the Army Reserve as a private and I'll be Fort Jackson-bound on August 24th. Not currently an airsofter but will get into the sport after training. In talking with several folks on another forum who are very much involved with airsofting, I found it was something that I was fairly interested in taking it up.

I did some looking around and almost decided on what I'll get as a starter gun. Good things have been said about TM so I'll go with them for sure. newbie question, I know, but any suggestions on a particular model?

My Reserve unit is based out of Massachussetts (Fort Devens). Anyone here from that area?

Cheers.

~Megs

I'm Robert. I have been using MooT as my handle for a loooong time (about 2 years). I am 20 years old and always down for an airsoft game. Here is what moot means (Taken from www.dictionary.com):

1. Law. A hypothetical case argued by law students as an exercise.
2. An ancient English meeting, especially a representative meeting of the freemen of a shire.

I have been airsofting for alittle over 8 months now. I own a TM G3 SG1, TM MP5A4 with a light, and a KWA G26c. I am always up for playing a game. I prefer indoor over outdoor but whatever works for me as long as I get to play. I usually prefer to play as an assaulter/support. I am always looking for new places to go (ROAD TRIP! WEEE!). My aim name is MooTOwnZ if anyone cares to tell me about upcoming events in the Illinois, Missouri, or Indiana area. Or if you want to play a game of DOD:S, CS:S, or just talk about life in general.

Events I am attending in 2006:

I've been playing airsoft for about a year. I also like WW2 computer games.

I play magic the gathering too, and trying out paintball.

My favorite movie(s) is(are) obivously James bond.

My name is Andrew, and my screen name is Novalord2. I picked this screenname when I was 7, and I use the same screename for any other boards/forums/registraions ect. I never really bothered to change it.

Anyway, I live in Corona, CA, and I am 13 years old (8th grade).

I started airsofting wih 3 of my closest friends about a year ago. We started off with CQB with mini-electrics and walmart guns. Our intrest in Airsoft has grown, and now we have over 30 people who airsoft with us. Most of us have GBB's, and high-end springers, although several have CA's and UTG's. I currently own a Maruzen CA870 shotgun, and a PPK sidearm.

My other hobbies include: Drumming (kit and hand drum), Cars, Tennis, Music (AlternRock, Classic Rock, Metal, Electronica). I also like movies and videogames, and politcs to some extent (Democratic/Libertarian ideologies)

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions/comments.

Hi there

Im a 23 year old guy from Norway who's been into softgunning or airsofting for about half a year or so now. It all started with an impulse buy of a mp5a2 when I had to much money on my hands. I then proceeded to lure some of my friends into it as well.
When Im not doing airsoft Im doing Capoeira (as I am the lead trainer/instructor in the group in my home city), anyhoo I did my 1 year tour of duty in the navy where I got to shoot some real guns, I also had some previous experience when I was younger, as I entered a shooting club (mostly rifles). Im a big fan of action movies and often try and base the mil-sim games around that (and luckily so are my friends, so no worries there).
So far the best game played has been "zombie run", but Im wandering off the topic here. I hope to broaden my understanding of airsoft, both games and guns at this forum.
Play safe and have fun headbang.gif

hello, I'm gh0st RPLEASE DO NOT POST EMAIL ADDRESSES IN YOUR MESSAGES - USE THE PM SYSTEMven, my family has an extensive military history in all branches of the military. I, myself, was in the US Navy; my wife was with the USAF. My MOS was HM0000. Before I got into any airsoft/paintball/replica stuff I was shooting pistols and rifles. I got into paintball first, and I just recently got into airsoft. I've been playing pball for three years. I have the "fish" (XM8) and the 1911. I have the real Springfield 1911, Walther P22, Beretta M9; and the 1911 is my favorite among my pistols. I don't own a HighEnd AEG since it cost almost as much as the real weps. Though I would like to get the M14 since it's my favorite since my Navy days.

Greetings,

ASF has another newbie in the crowd. I've been recently introduced to this addictive hobby by a friend. I'm one of those older members with life stories. I grew up as an Air Force brat and have fond memories of running around the house with my father's combat gear and M16. My brother and I grew up hunting, target shooting, and playing "war", so the discovery of these realistic, fully-automatic bb guns has been a lot of fun.

After a few backwoods skirmishes with cheapo EAGs, my brother and I recently invested in nicer guns. He's getting the TM G3 SAS and I went with the TM MP5J. It's a great excuse for us to hang out together. We're fortunate because he has five acres of woods and a creek to run around.

Thanks for all the great information on this site! Lurking here for the past few months has been a lot of fun.

Alright, I think I've done enough of these to know how it goes. My allias is shotgunner, mostly because my main weapon, right now, is a $40 Crosman pump shotgun. I've been in airsoft for a little bit now and I'm looking into getting a TM vsr-10 g-spec pretty soon since I have heard great things about it. Well, I guess thats about it, glad to part of the forums.

So I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, and this seemed like the appropriate forum in which to do so. So hey everybody, I'm live in rural middle TN, which is a great place to play airsoft, wooded hills everywhere. Just getting started, I'm a student of military history, and I like to get into what I study, so airsoft seemed like a natural choice of hobby. Look forward to recieving airsoft wisdom from you guys.

Hey.
Uhm, my name is Chris, I'm 19, and I live in the Southern Oregon area.
I have been airsofting with friends for a few years, starting out with little spring pistols and mini's to eventually our AEG's. We all played on an honor system, and rather causually played whenever possible.
Anyways, I've moved alot in the past couple of years and have lost contact with everyone who played, so I'm just on here to look for friends and ask a few questions.

Hey, airsoftkid100 here to introduce myself.

My screen name is airsoftkid100 (obviously) and my real name is Nick.

I am currently 14 years old and got my first airsoft gun when I was 11, at Christmas. It was a Crosman P22 springer and I am proud to say that it still works today. At first, I was not even aware of the MILSIM games that you use airsoft with, so I just plinked around the neighborhood for a year or so. In November '02, I realized that my friend up the street owned an airsoft gun as well, and he told me of a game where you use these guns like paintball. I arranged a game between me, my friend, my other friends, and my brothers in a large field near my house.

We brought all of our guns (I had added two onto my arsenal and my friends had five) in a few carrying cases and began our game. All I can say is wow. The game was amazing and it was so much fun with every man for himself. We were instantly hooked and began playing regularly. It's all downhill from here.

I now have a five gun arsenal of mainly springers and a few NBBs. I have formed a team now with 4 of my friends, called Team Red Dawn and we have about two games a month from the local neighborhood kids.

Thanks for reading...

Im Patrick AKA "RED COAT" or "R3D C0A7" in L33T

I got my first airsoft gun about a year ago (a GBB M9) and I fell in love with the game.

I got my nickname RED COAT from being English, a minor history buff, a love for James Bond (so many people on here seem to be 007 fans), and modeling how I look in the feild after the British SAS.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Brandon. I'm 17 years of age and I live in the great state of Kentucky. I've been playing airsoft off and on for about a year but just now am getting really involved in it. I've been through 4 years of JROTC, with the last year focusing on Survival training and advanced leadership techniques. I'm currently a Licensed CNA (Certifed Nurse Assistant) and I'm working on my Nursing degree. I live near several major military bases (Ft. Campbell and Ft. Knox), so that means I have enough tactical gear to equip a small third world militia a-laugh.gif . I like this site as it has many things to teach. I hope that I can assist with gear, first aid, and other questions...Thanks alot

hey everyone

My name's Matt, I've been on this forum for a while and I have been playing airsoft for about 2-3 years.

I was the first one with an Airsoft gun out of all my friends. I got a cheap $20 springer at Galyans, and a few of my friends followed, buying cheap airsoft guns. I played a little bit, but the game started to seem stupid in the wake of big, powerful paintball guns, which is quite popular in Indiana.

That is, until one of my friends showed me the "real" airsoft guns, with realistic Tokyo Marui AEGs, full metal sidearms, etc. Thats when I ordered my first gun, a TM M4 right here from the ASF store.

The rest is history. I sold all my paintball stuff and dove right into airsoft. All my friends have bought "good guns" (over $100), and we now play almost every weekend. Paintball was fun, but it cant match Airsoft. I can buy a big bag of BBs for $15, and still afford BDUs and other tactical gear that I need.

Airsoft is fun, and I'm glad to be a part of this forum

Hey, my real name is Craig, but I chose the name Mikhail Kalashnikov because I am amazed at how he began creating the AK-47 in post WWII, and yet it is still in use today. I would have chosen the name of whoever created the Stg. 44 . . . but Poland lost %17 of its population due to Germany. And I am %100 Polish.
Enough about that, I have played airsoft since 2003, and have slowly fallen in love with it. My primary weapon is a TM FAMAS F1 which I've had since early 2005. It has served me very well, and all those nasty rumors about it being the first AEG and how bad it is are very, very false.
Well, that's all I feel like saying for now, so I'm out.

Well my real name is Koby and I live in Cerritos, California.
I just very recently joined the forum and I am 14 years old and started to gain interest in airsoft at the age of 8 years old ( but never could at the time). I am a huge fan of all kinds of tactical pistol and preferably play in CQB-type areas.
As my screen name ( Praetor Stealth ) states, I do like the "covert" style of airsofting.
Other then that, I look forward to meeting everyone here.

Hey, My name is Eric and I've been "playing" airsoft for at least 2 years now. Me and my friend were first introduced to some small Spring pistols, and since we love guns, we had to get them. After a year of playing in my friends backyard we got bored. It is then, one year later, that I purchased a KWC M9FS gas powered pistol, which is crap, but was great then, and mad the gameplay interesting. Between us, at that point, we had about 5 airsoft guns between us, 3 for him, 2 for me. After I ran out of gas we stopped playing and went on with our lives. Not only until MARCH 06 did I purchase a High Power Classic Army m15a4 and KWA USP OD-GREEN we really get into this sport. The sad thing is I don't even have the rifle yet because of backorder, but when I do get it, I'll have pictures on the forum. Even though we are spending a fortune, we still never went out to a field! We are hoping to soon, so wich us luck!

My name is Peter, I'm 17, and I've been into airsoft for about 3 years now after a trip to Asia. I have a TM G3SG1 and a TM SR16. I'm looking to upgrade my SR16 (the full monty) and its proving to be rather confusing, so I'm looking for some help. I play airsoft with a ragtag group of friends, mostly with AEG's, in backyards, warehouses, farms, what-have-you (legally). I really wish airsoft would grow as a sport, because it's wicked fun!

Hey everybody. My "name" is Black Knight. I chose this name because he was the best character in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I also use this name as part of my Counter Strike: Source clan -][ULA][-BlackKnight.

I'm going to school at UNC Charlotte in Charlotte NC. I'm looking for any type of airsoft action in the Charlotte are right now to get my feet wet.

My gun is a stock UTG MP5. I just got it about a month ago and addons are pending.

Hey everybody! I'm the 2nd Matt that I know of on here. Y'all can call me by my screen name or by MoDeM, whichever y'all prefer.

I've been playin' Airsoft for about 2 years now, starting after we ordered a few guns as Christmas presents when I was 14.

I own 2 stock UTG MP5's, planning to soon (read that as: As soon as I get a job) to upgrade one of them. I use 10 STAR 30 round mags with the MP5's. I also own a KJW M92F MIlitary Model GBB (the plastic version). I use propane in it, having purchased the propane adapter along with the gun. As of right now, I only have one mag for it.

I was a member of another Airsoft site for about a year, until it descended into constant flames and arguments and namecalling. Not my scene. Anyway, the point of that was to say that I do have a little bit of knowledge, not near as much as I would like though. I almost completely freaked when I fouond this site just today.

I live in central North Carolina, and play every once in a while when we (we being about 10 of us, most family) can get our schedules to work out.

I'm looking forward to learning from y'all, and maybe even helping out some of y'all.

Hi everyone,

I'm surprised I never found this forum before.

I'm from Airsoft retreat, and though it was great there, I made a mistake and I had to turn to someplace else.

Idk how long I'll stay in this forum. So far everything's a bit confusing (it happens to everyone. it's not supposed to be criticism lol).

I hope I'll be able to stay here for a while, though.

thanks!

Hey,
Im Iceburn. Im from Phoenix, Arizona, which is supposed to be related to my name. I love airsoft and guns and everything related to the military. I first got into airsoft when I was 13 when I ordered a spring gun from an website, and I've grown quite a collection since then. Right now I have an AEG G3A3 which has been uprgaded to 375FPS, has a 2000 round drum magazine, a 9x magnification scope, and a bipod. I also have another AEG P90 with a silencer and laser sight. I have a Co2 powered Mini Uzi that shoots at 450FPS. Aside from these main guns I also have a few springs and some AA powered electrics. I really don't know of any other airsoft forums so I hope this ends being a good one.

my turn.

my name is Axel, I'm 16, and I hail from Castle Rock, Colorado. I'm pretty new to the airsofting scene, seeing as how I barely started playing a couple weeks ago. I currently own and HFC P8 spring pistol (imagine the Tomb Raider gun, but without the compensator), I'm soon going to buy a UTG M324 sniper, and I (supposedly) have a CA G36 on the way. only problem is that its been "on the way" since Christmas '05. I'll have to check on that.

if anyone lives in or around the Castle Rock/Parker area, and wants to play a little airsoft, you can find me at myspace (here), or just send me a PM here. I check my messages on myspace a little more often, so if you want to contact me faster, send a message there.

peace.

Howdy folks, I'm Shanky from Houston. I've been an active airsofter for almost a year, I'm a frequent poster on ASC (No I'm not one of the flamers =P), I'm currently at the AEG stage and soon I'm going to be moving into Classics. I'm 16 years old and have formed a few bad teams (generally the people in my vicinity don't have the best airsoft guns) but I do travel out to Kapowwe's field for ops and games every once in a while.
See you on the forums :) .

Okay, so where to begin. Well im twelve years old and my names Travis. I got into airsoft when my friend showed me how sick his "POS springer" was so all my friends have got into it. We play on 2 acres of land near a river and so far we are playing with no gun worth over $50. I have ordered a $120 CYMA CM.028 AK which will be the most nicest gun any of my friends have ever handled. I have recently been to the army navy store and bought BDU, Camo pants, jacket, boots, bandanna (for mouth cover) and a boonie cap which I have not used yet in a airsoft battle but will in about a week when Me and my friends will be having a 13 person airsoft battle, the biggest we've ever had (we usually only play with about 4 people) I am the only person who knows some stuff about airsoft so thats why I go ASF all the way. I have personally only touched a UTG CA870, a Matrix Aug (not sure if civilian or military) and about the most durable POS pistol I have ever seen. The pistol has been dropped underwater and thrown many times..... I cannot wait to get my CYMA CM.028. My favorite videogame is defintley Counter Strike and my favorite song is Seven Nation Army by White Stripes. I am a phycotic at football and okay at baseball.

Hello My name is Chris, I am a 20 year old and my main call sign is Rorin, but if that is taken then is it Sgt. Guy. That name I have used for about 5 years now.

Well I am trying to get into the sport but between College, and work. I don't have much time or money, but I know I am getting a windfall soon. I play paintball when ever a friend want to play but I found out that most people who live in my are of California play speedball, I live in Fresno, CA by the way, and I perfer to play in the woods. So on a forum I used to go to members started talking about airsoft and I was very interseted but, could not commit to it for I was still in high school at the time.

I am also an adived military firearm knowledge seeker, have fire only a black power musket in my life, and not owning a firearm, so as a result I tend to know alot about military firearms and weapons.

Greetings,

I'm a refugee from Arnies. I got sick of seeing my country bashed on a regular basis and people talking about how "cool" it would be to kill US soldiers, so I stood up to the Europeans and got banned for it. I'm sick of forums with double standards and corrupt moderation. I'm hoping that this forum is diffrent, but I won't hold my breath.

That being said, I've been collecting airsoft guns since 1998. My first gun was a KWC M16 NBB Carbine. My first AEG was a TM Mp-5A4. I've writen but not published guides on the Maruzen M870/1100 series, TM P90 series and some older gas rifles/SMGs. I've also managed to take KJW products and make them into useable skirmish weapons. And I have extensive experience with gearboxes of all versions.

I don't skirmish but I do play 2vs2 games on my own private properity in the middle of no where. And when I do play I play a Asian form of "Deathmatch" game with no FPS limits. Sounds bad but its not any worse than a round of simmunitions or paintball.

I do own several real firearms and I consider myself a pro-gun Republican. And thats about it. I hope I've found my new home. and hope to be very active in the sale/trade forums.

Hello fellow 'softers a-thumbsup.gif

My name's Si, I live in the UK and I'm somewhat confused as to how I should be classified on forums! Though I've been reading up on, and collecting items to do with airsofting for a couple of years, I've only been to one skirmish (though I'll be going to my 2nd in a little under a month).

I only have one decent AEG, an AIM AM4A1, I do have a silly Cyma MP5-J knock off for fun, and a great little Uzi that only has 2 settings - full auto craziness, or safe (IE off)!!

I'm 19 years of age, and have just finished my first year at university studying Archaeological Science. So, you can pretty much understand why I'm a HUGE fan of Stargate a-cheesy.gif

My current kit includes: full S'95 British DPMs, shirt & trousers in Desert DPM, full set of Bulle ACUs, full set of Tru-Spec ACUs, and a non-canon Black Offworld Stargate costume.

So, that's me in a nut-shell a-jester.gif

hello everyone, my name is chris and I'm from my jefferson city, missouri. I am 26 and fairly new to airsoft, although I have been having a blast with it. I have been a paintballer for quite a while but I am tired of the awkward guns and the price of the game. I have gotten more enjoyment out of my short time airsofting then I ever did with pb. if anyone is interested, my screen name comes from the adventures of a misspent youth, it was my tag name. also, my left shift key is broken so I rarely use caps.

I'm Snakeroy, and I rose up from the dirt. I was ridin' Satan's hell hounds, and then I went berserk!
Just got back from hell the Devil's horns I'm gonna sell.
I Snakeroy have defeated Satan!!

OK enough of the Snakeroy crap. Multiple Personality Disorder is what THEY tell me??

Brian here now, and I just discovered Airsoft(2 months ago) by accident when my Wife ordered toy guns for my son(she didn't know they were plastic bb guns). A Cyma Luger, and a Jeike P99. Always being into guns and collecting(mainly WWII) I set up the BB trap that came with the P99 in the basement. I couldn't believe how accurate it was for a 6 dollar pistol. The Cyma gun was horrible! I tried to get into paintball years ago, and played a little until the Extreme sport took off wearing motocross outfits, and firing behind a blow-up rubber balloon.

This was perfect timing with my kids being older, and me taking on a new hobby!!

Now my basement is my Airsoft Armory, and I have a back screened in room which is now my shooting range. The kids love it, and I enjoy teaching them gun safety, and how to shoot.

Now putting my uniform together, and ready to order an AEG. Then find the closest field!!
Although I do need to get back into shape, and lay off the German Bier, and Bratwursts.

Oh, one more thing.. Served 1990-94' at Ft.Campbell, KY apart of the 160thSOAR(SpecOpsAviationRegiment)Airborne as a light wheel mechanic.
In 95' started a punk rock band(I'm a drummer), and played til 2000. Then married, and started having babies. Now 35, have 3 kids, and work as a heavy wheel mechanic.

I'm Snakeroy, and I'm livin' in the future
Cuz I went looney in the past. I'm gonna start a war,
and this one's gonna last!!

Snakeroy out...

Some of you know me from different places - CNY Airsoft, or the CQB games that got played in Groton CT back in April, and I am (or used to be) pretty regular on Arnie's Airsoft, and I sometimes play with the WNYAL guys. I already recognize some names here. :)

I'm a little bit of a geardo. Most of my gear is TT MOLLE stuff, with a sprinkling of TAG and STRIKE pouches.

My current gun collection is:

KWA G17:

-Guarder titanium recoil spring and guide rod
-Firefly rocket valve
-Hogue slip-on grips
-Shooting about 350 with .2's on a warm day. Smile

TM G3 S/G1 (currently disassembled on the shop table, waiting on the cylinder head from DenTrinity):

-Guarder chromium cylinder
-First Factory Aero cylinder head
-Guarder polycarb piston
-Guarder bearing spring guide
-Systema M100 spring
-Systema shims
-Systema metal bushings
-Guarder bearing piston head
-MadBull Black Python tightbore
-Silicone hop bucking
-CA Metal body
-Hero Arms self-winding drum mag
-Real deal wood forearm and stock
-1400 MAh 9.6v battery
-Real deal G3 leather sling
-rewired with Dean's connectors
-CA Low mount
-G&P aimpoint replica

I sometimes put on the original plastic forearm with an 11" rail on the bottom that holds a MadBull XM203L, and the original plastic stock with a 3000 MAh 9.6v battery.

TM MP5k PDW:

-Guarder lucid chromium cylinder
-ICS aluminum piston
-Guarder bearing piston head
-Guarder bearing spring guide
-Systema flat gears
-Systema shims)
-Matrix m100 spring
-Guarder metal bushings
-CA Lower
-Nitro VO rail
-First Silencer Attachment
-King Arms MP5k silencer with trademarks and foam inserts
-Custom cut MadBull Black Python tightbore (extends the length of the silencer)
-Silicone hop bucking
-1400 MAh 8.4v battery
-my favorite $40 Tasco red dot sight from Wal*Mart
-shooting about 360 with .2's

That's all!

I'm Lane.

I have OCD.

I like eating food, playing games, getting into airsoft, tabletop RPG's, and odd spacing.

Ok my name is Geoff (British version for Jeff) I got into airsoft about 2 years ago. I came to this forum for 2 reasons 1) Because ASR deletes every one of my posts no matter what it is about and 2) Touken told me to come here from AUF and that is a great site too but doesnt have very many members yet.

Ok about me I'm 15 and live in Leavenworth Kansas. I own a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 Pro-sniper version and a TM M3 Shorty Shotgun and I'm about to get a Classic Army M15. I have other spring stuff that I don't use and it just collects dust.

I have been to a few matches that are 60 plus men and had a blast. I havent done any CQB yet but I'm hopeing to soon. Thats about it I guess.

Hi my names Alex but my surname in CS:S and SSBM is F4therChristmas. I know its a weird name but I really like it because its different. My friends and I just got into airsoft but we were doing it once and the cops came. We all scattered but I still ended up getting caught. I tried to stay away from airsofting but now that my friends want to go play in official places I am cool with it. I hope to have a great time here and with airsofting in the future.

M1A1THOMPSON:

Hello all. For those of you who remember me from late 2005/early 2006, I'm back after a troubled summer. Long story short, computer troubles in the beginning and family troubles at the end basically ruined any attempt to contribute to the forums here on ASF this summer. Luckily for me, I'm back, and hopefully here to stay.

A little about me:

Ah, where to start. Well, my primary is obviously a TM Thompson, though my friends and I will often trade weapons for a round or two, so we can see how we like them. I started out small with mini's and the like, and worked my way up to my first AEG, a TM MP5A3. I eventually sold this to a friend and picked up my beloved Thompson. In the future, I plan on entering the world of GBB's (after substantial research of course). I keep most of my weapons stock, but will tinker more and more with them as my knowledge increases.

About me, and not my weapons:
I'm a teenager from Dallas TX, and I love ska/punk music. To my knowlege, I am the only person on this forum of primarily Macedonian descent a-fmacedonian.gif (if you know of anyone else, please PM me). I try my best to keep my posts respectable and to help newbies whenever possible. While I love contributing, I end up doing a lot more reading around the forum than I to typing.

For those of you who remember my plan to pick up a CYMA CM.027 and write an unbiased review, I've abandoned it. Instead, I'll encourage my friends who are considering buying their first AEG's to pick one up.

Thanks everybody,
M1A1THOMPSON

--------------------
My philosophy: If you're going to go cheap, get a springer. If you're going to go for around $100-$150, get an MPEG or a GBB. $150-$200, better GBB and an extra mag or an MPEG with some accessories. $200+, look at a nice GBB, high-quality AEG, or a sniper rifle (if you are 100% positive you want to be a sniper). If you're going to look for a used gun and remain stock, take 90% of numbers above (Note: I do not suggest going with used weapons except for with the higher-priced items. Make sure you trust the person you're buying from). Is it good? *Borrowed from BattlePriest:
Help the newbies and their "which gun" threads. Tell them about their mistake and answer their question. The thread will be closed because the question has been answered.

Well, my name is Tony, I'm 17 (until october) and I live in Ohio. I got into airsoft about a year ago when I got my first gun. I don't know of anybody else in my area that plays airsoft aside from me and my brother (but I have a few potential paintball converts lined up). I play mainly with my brother 1 on 1 in our backyard (I live on a farm). I have owned a BE Steyr Military AEG and a UHC USP NBB (now broken).

I am planning on getting a UTC AK-47 WarHawk as my new primary (old one's not so great), and a Smith & Wesson 1911 UG as backup.

Hope to see you guys around the forums. a-famerican.gif

Howdy Gents,

I am just poking around here and wanted to introduce myself. Here is my bio of my website for my background:

James Yeager is a current Police Officer with narcotics and training duties at his Department.

From July 2004 until May 2005 James Yeager was on Protective Security Details in Baghdad Iraq. His Team was responsible for the protection of the 8 Iraqi Election Commissioners during the violent pre-election, election, and post election. His Team was also in charge of the physical security of their offices at the Interim Iraqi Government Building and we worked closely with the Gurkhan guard force there. Yeager’s duties as I.C. (on-site supervisor) included acting as a media liaison, coordinating the security force for the building (Contractors and Iraqi), coordinating with the security force for the compound (Global Risk and US Army), and coordinating with the two U.S. Army Force Protection groups for the area (82nd ABN). He also assisted with the planning, advances, coordination, and execution of the many meetings, plane rides, helicopter shuttles, conferences, and trips around turbulent Iraq that the 8 commissions took to set up and complete the electoral process.

May 1996 through September 1998 he worked as a Patrolman and K-9 handler for the Big Sandy Police Department. In the fall of 1998 he was asked to be the Chief of Police. It was during this time he trained and led the County’s first Tactical Team. He held the position of Chief until a new Mayor fired him in May of 2000. He was hired as a Deputy at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in May of 2000. His duties at BCSO included patrol, Tactical Team leader, and trainer for the Multi-Agency Crisis Response Team. September of 2002 after a new Sheriff came into office Yeager decided the political strife of full-time Law Enforcement was too much for him and he went into private training full-time and also became Vice President of Lightfighter Tactical Incorporated, which is a multi-million dollar tactical gear company until July of 2004 when he resigned to go to Iraq.

January 1992 through May 1996 James Yeager worked with various Drug Task Force units as well as many local Departments’ Narcotics squads buying and selling illegal narcotics in an undercover capacity. He specialized in deep cover operations, used fictitious names, and moved frequently. The agencies he worked for included, but were not limited to, the 24th Drug Task Force, 23rd D.T.F., 27th D.T.F., Paris Police Department, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, and the DEA. He made hundreds narcotics buys and sales during this period and still continues to work in short duration operations as needed.

James Yeager formed Tactical Response Inc (www.TacticalResponse.com) in 1996 with the intention of building a fighting school and not another shooting school. He has accomplished that goal. He has taught private citizens and armed professionals how to fight with a firearm both domestically and overseas, including but not limited to: West Memphis Arkansas SWAT, Benton County Tennessee Crisis Response Team, USMC Sniper Platoon, Benton County Tennessee Sheriff’s Patrol, British Special Air Service (SAS), Camden Tennessee Police Department, Gibson County Sheriff Department, German GSG-9 (Counter Terrorists), Austrian WEGA (Counter Terrorists), Austrian Cobra (Counter Terrorists), Austrian MEK (SWAT), Innsbrook Austria Police Department, Memphis Tennessee Police Department, Memphis Tennessee Police Department Firearms Training Unit, Huntingdon Tennessee Police Department, New Johnsonville Tennessee Police Department, Waverly Tennessee Police Department, Henry County Tennessee Sheriff’s Patrol, Humphrey’s County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office, Israeli Special Police, U.S. Navy SEALs, U.S. Army Light Fighters, Swiss Counter Terrorists, Belgian Police and Military Firearms Instructors, Somerset Kentucky SWAT, United States Drug Enforcement Agency, Pueblo Colorado Police Department, Pueblo Colorado SWAT, United States Embassy-Guatemala, U.S. Army 5th Special Forces Group, U.S. Army Nightstalkers (160th Special Forces Aviation Regiment), and the United States Customs Service. There are many more on this list.

James Yeager has been a commercial firearms trainer since 1994 and has taught literally thousands of students with many students, Tactical Teams, and Special Forces Teams being successful in lethal force confrontations both domestically and abroad. He has taught multiple classes in North America (nearly every state and Canada), Europe, Central America, and the Middle East. He has been on the board of Directors of the Southern Lawman Association and has been an advisor to a major firearms manufacturer.

James Yeager is also a professional writer and has been published in magazines such as S.W.A.T., Southern Lawman, and STUFF. He wrote foreword for the book “Surgical Speed Shooting” as well as being on the cover of that book which was written by Andy Stanford. He continues to write and his articles are seen frequently on his website and in various police and tactical magazines.

Oh, haha. I totally missed this thread and here it was, in the most obvious of places...

Hello everyone, my name is Joe, and I'm 18 years of age and living it up down here in sunny San Diego, California. I'm a student, currently, at UCSD (University of California at San Diego), and I'm a huge Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. I love playing most sports, but I had an inhibiting knee injury a while back that presented liability concerns for teams that I've tried out for, and since been rejected from.

I've had airsoft guns for about two years now. I started off with my UHC Spring-powered Desert Eagle .44, which I loved, so I decided to buy an LPEG (didn't know it was at the time) off eBay, which was a CYMA SIG 552 Commando. I thought the gun was sexy, not the model I bought, and was disappointed in what I thought was an AEG. I never really played on any fields before, so I bought a few other springers I could play around with, after I lent some to my friends.

This year, however, after saving up a great deal, I decided to splurge on a few guns that were of a higher quality. All in all, at one point, I owned about ten springers, a CYMA SIG 552, and then a Tokyo Marui M92F Chrome, Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle Hard-kick .50 AE Chrome, a Tokyo Marui M1911A1, a Western Arms Strayer-Voight Infinity Hybrid 6" Xcelerator (brushed nickel), a Classic Arms Steyr AUG A1, and a KJW M700 Police Sniper Rifle. I highly recommend each of these models, with the M1911A1, M92F, SVI Hybrid Xcelerator, and Steyr AUG A1 in particular highlight.

I've been reading up a whole bunch on a wide variety of articles here at ASF, and I'm working on writing a few reviews for the several airsoft guns I've owned, as well as some tactical gear I've purchased. I aim to be as friendly and as helpful as possible here at ASF, though I don't consider myself a guru by any means. Xhado's the guru. And TriChrome. And Southern Cross. And BattlePriest, of course. Those guys are the real intellectuals here on the forum (I just sound pretty when I type because I'm a Political Science major) with respect to Airsoft.

Anyways, thanks for reading this, and in the infamous words of MSU Green Giant, "Welcome to ASF! Feel free to PM me with any questions regarding airsoft that you might have. a-grin.gif." (MSU, I mean that with the most respect due to you possible).

-Peace
Joe

Hello, My name is Jesse. I am 25 years of age, I live in Portland Oregon. I work at a local Airsoft retail shop, as a Gun technician, Sales manager, Network admin, website manager, and IT guru.. ok so basically I do everything around here. I like to fix and build stuff, especially stuff with lots of small expensive parts(this may explain why I end up doing everything) I am a gear freak, I constantly buy new internal and external parts for my gun(and everythign else I own) even if I don't get to use it often(work dictates I don't get to see as much action as id like) The whole process of working on my gun is easily as fun as shooting it. I also enjoy building PC's, graphic design, web design, WH40k, WOW, and many flavors of beer. I am obsessed with starwars, darth vader is my hero. Do I want a lightsabre? YES! Do I wish to combine starwars and airsoft? NO! im pretty sure that would be.. wrong. I own a CA M15A4 Tactical Carbine that is my baby, I have added the CA RIS , King arms flattop rail /w rear sight, OD rail covers/vertical grip/stock, and a G&P aimpoint replica reddot. Inside I have added an m120 spring, Systema air nozzel, systema Cylinder head, Systema POM piston head /w bearing, CA Bearing Spring guide, KM Head Tightbore barrel and a custom built 9.6v 4300mah NiMh battery. Currentl;y it pushes a little over 425fps and 1320rpm(22 rounds a second) 10,000 rounds later its still kickin on a stock CA piston, ill probably replace it soon. next on my list is a bigout H hop up, sector chip, and a prometheus hard bucking. I hope to learn somethign and give somethign back to this community in the near future.

Hello my name is James I'm currently 13 and I own an M16A1. I currently have been airsofting for 3 years.
I am a squad leader for a team called RAD which is Recon Atack/Assult Division. I am currently ready to hire new members to my team and if you want to be on one let me know by PM. I plan to join the U.S. Army and make it as a Oceanographer(one who studies the ocean/marine life). I know many things about airsoft and will be honored to tell you the basics. I don't call my self an expert because I don't know everything and neither does anyone else.

Our team is looking for a SAW gunner, medic, grenadier and will also hire more rifleman and assult troopers.

JValdezjr

Been playing Airsoft since 2002, bought my first AEG in 2003. My friends and I formed a team up this year, and we are based out of the Northern/Central Virginia Area.

My loadout consists of my primary field weapon, AEG for CQB, and a backup pistol-
TM VSR G-Spec rifle upgraded to 500 FPS
CA MP5A2 w/ lighted forearm and full stock - Stock gun 290 FPS
KWA KP8 USP .45 GBB Pistol - OD Green frame.

I'm very interested in this sport, I like the MP5 guns, and I'm learning more and improving my sniper game, which I enjoy- and am fully aware of the issues surrounding it.

I've been reading these boards for a while now, just never signed up- never needed to post, but now that I'm learning more about gun work, upgrades, and accesories, I've found the need to start asking questions.

Everything I've read on these boards has been quality- so I'm looking forward to swapping intel with you all.

Hey guys, good to be here. I'm a newbie to airsoft, the only airsoft guns I've owned have been very cheap springers which broke fast, but I am planning on buying an AEG very soon and I'm interested in going to some Airsoft games. I live in Nottingham, in the United Kingdom.

Good to be here! a-grin.gif

Hey there I'm the Son of Thor, well one of the many great decendance. I'm assuming that is where my namesake comes from. Anyway, just recently I have been given the chance to mess with Airsoft and I caught on right away. I love it and want to learn more about it. I have a few spring and electric guns and I'm looking into getting some full metal gas guns.
I have a group of friends who seem to be interested in it as well since we all basically found out about the sport at the same time with the exception to one of us who showed us the light.

Paisley Pirate

A ne'er do well from an early age, Paisley survived by running a betting racket on how much faster one stalk of wheat would grow than another... later it was found that he rigged the betting with Miracle Gro.

About this time, he developed an affinity for weapons of all sorts (mostly because of a big mouth, a bigger intellect, and no self control) and also the fact that he was usually the youngest (and also smallest) member of his class in school.

Took to saving the environment at an early age by recycling old Playboys and selling them to friends... this was how he could afford all the bling on his customized purple bicycle (some sort of import that could outrun everyone else, for fear of being beaten...) This racket was stopped by his parents, even after they found the money that came from it...

About this time, Young Paisley discovered both firearms and the martial arts, studying aikido and kendo heavily, and both hunting with a .22 and shotgun, and iron target shooting, competing in age groups up to 4 years younger than he really was due to his unexplainable lack of growth for several years... making him look like a 5th grader in a class of seniors in his high school... Why seniors? Well, all the numbers rackets he ran made him a mathematical genius, being extremely gifted in the art of mathematics and in sciences... why in one test that consisted of 200 questions, he only missed 1, that being what 9+11 equalled....

Unfortunately, his gift with numbers did NOT translate into the world of writing... you see, Paisley Had (has) a terrible secret... he's dyslexic. And sometimes it appeared even when messing with numbers...

Truant officers and social workers continued to try to bring him to civilized society to little avail. They tried to make sure that he was well rounded and educated... to their peril. Seems he kept taking all the knowledge they could give him, just to use it to twist against them at every turn. Finally, when he was a senior in high school, the diabolical chemicals he had conceived of and taken years before either wore off, or he figured it was time to quit playing the punk kid and grow up... besides, it kept getting harder to get a date when his face was smoother than most of the girls...
So, he grew 9 inches in one year... and began taking his revenge on all the bullies... for by that time, he had gained a large sum of knowledge in various fighting skills, and was willing to use them...

Finally, they threw him out of the little high school where he had plotted and schemed with such great success, so disgusted they were with him, they gave him a diploma just so he COULDN'T come back... and he was at a loss as to where to go next. He had had a dream to go on to some place where he could get his hands on ever more powerful weapons... some place like the Naval Academy... but, alas, some punk grocery store produce department weasel boy beat him out by one point in the highly competitive testing... then went one day and came home crying like a NancyBoy... that our anti-hero had to find another way to get his hands on ultimate destruction... finally (by a huge amount of brute force hacking of some mainframes) getting his hands on a full ride scholarship in the Army ROTC program at one of the more odd state universities in the known world... There he studied hard, at girls... and games, and then he found his passion...

Fencing. Yes, our Paisley found his destiny as a swordfighter... a dandy, a swashbuckler, and a threat to all campus crusaders who dared to entreat on the commons yard of the school whilst he and his goon squad practiced. Also about this time, he formed a great group of alliances that play out until this very day with men and women of power and integrity (in other words, he still has the negatives!) and learned there was more to the world than just petty rackets and schemes...

He also grew an amazing 6 more inches in college, to tower over the punks and bullies, who now when they see him, smile and say, "Sir."

He also found his second passion, Airsoft! He found a Daisy Softair gun, and along with his gang of hoodlums, terrorized a huge number of people with their swagger and shooting and mayhem. This lasted a while, but slowly dwindled away, as the better guns just weren't available then.

Sword fighting continued to drive his life. Through ingenious cover stories for jobs, he continued to look fairly respectable, even landing a wife and having a couple of kids (that he is willing to claim...) Then tragedy struck... financial ruin and heartbreak... so he kept up the sword fighting, and kept on winning events, driven by his anger and bloodlust. That was about the time he got his pirate ship, the Persephone, and ran it with an iron fist to this very day.

About 3 years ago, several of this dastardly pirates' crew found airsoft guns again... he remembered with glee his Daisy, even finding it in the drawer where he had lovingly left it years ago... pulling it out, and shooting the first Leutenant in the ding-ding... just because he could... ah yes, shooting skills are fun indeed.

A gifted and talented worker of all things mechanical, he has been known to rebuild guns from a bag of parts, "for fun!" working on all kinds of guns, just because, and generally shooting the crap out of anyone not on his team in airsoft battles (and sometimes, even his own side if they don't give the countersign quick enough... )

His fits of psychotic rage seem to fit well with this hobby (fencing, too, imagine that) and his well educated brain is just slick enough to woo the women and keep one step ahead of the law...

Fear this psychotic monster if you should ever face him... he'll cut your heart out and laugh while doing it... then explain to you where your block failed, and demand to do it again, and again, until you get it right!

He'll shoot your eyes out from 50 paces (with iron sights) and draw a happy face on your belly with his
Aikido Rifle... then gleefully laugh when you realize he's been in plain sight the whole time, with advanced alien technology light folding camo...

...........

The son of a retired social worker, in real life, Paisley Pirate is a mild mannered manager for a multi-national company, who also is a certified fencing instructor. He has trained in various martial arts, and also with real firearms.

His college training was in aeronautical engineering, with a background of automobiles (family run garage) and also a weird hobby of political science.

He has been married twice, divorced once, has 2 children (girls, who both play airsoft, too)

He plays competitively with rapiers in the SCA in every kingdom but at home (because his home lies in the ONLY kingdom in the SCA where they don't play with rapiers... go figure) and has been recognized for his work with teenagers in teaching the Art of Defense, and encouraging them to better themselves and their world.

He's been a Mod here for almost a year, and loves to help new people out, to encourage our hobby to grow.

(and he likes to talk about himself in third person a lot...)

Paisley Pirate

PS, everything I wrote above is true... just embellished slightly... you figure out where...

PPS, Oh darn! I forgot the part about marrying my own sister... to her new husband! heheh

Hello all, my name is Sean.

I spent a combined 8 years in the miltiary, 4 years in the Navy as a Gunner's Mate and 4 years in the Army Guard as a Combat Engineer.

Bought my first airsoft gun in 1998 and have been playing ever since. Started off playing with the Virginia Rangers and know play with ECHO which is based out of Richmond, VA. Went to Irene III last year but missed this years event. Hope to meet some of you on the field some time.

Hey guys, I'm new around here, live in Texas and just went out and bought my first airsoft last night. I'm 25, just got engaged, and am working a lot more these days, so I haven't had the chance to take my real toys out to the range twice a week like I used to. I picked up a Crossman AEG. It looks like a fixed-stock MP5, but with a 7.62NATO sized mag. I think it's the R72 model, which is no doubt viewed as a beginer's gun. It's a blast for indoor plinking, and 6mm bb's are a lot cheaper than brass and range fees. I never thought I would spend more money on an airsoft than a regular firearm, but I'm sure I'll want to move on to something more expensive and upgradeable soon. Nice forum.

Welcome, but next time, please don't caps lock everything because it's annoying and hard to read. It looks like your flaming too even though I know your not purposely doing that.

Missed this thread the first time around so here we go!

I came over here a few months back when Arnie's cut out. I've pretty much packed up and left Arnie's now (because it's gone to sh*t over the past year, frankly) so perhaps I'll make ASF my new home, heh.

I'm an airsofter of about 5 years (skirmished for 4, I'd say), and a complete and utter gear wh*re. I love gear. No, seriously. a-skeptical.gif

I founded Team SNAFU (see my sig) just over a year ago. We now have about 60 members, including a number of members on here (and, indeed, a couple of mods on here...).

I'm from the UK, and I don't want to stay here much longer (anyone from the USA willing to take me in? a-kiss.gif ). Go figure.

So, glad to make your aquaintance a-wink.gif

Oh, and my avatar is of me. Says it all, really.

Hi, I'm Adam and I'm 14 years old and I just moved to Rockwall, Texas and theres finally an Airsoft field near me, since there never was when I lived in Rhode Island.. I've sort of been lurking around these forums on and off for the last year, since I joined last November. Anyway I figured I would try to get into the sport since I convinced my parents to let me get a GBB last Christmas and since then I've wanted to play on a real field. Anyway, I hope I can hang around for a while and get to know some people since right now I have no friends here, being halfway across the country and all.
