nice job hydralover.

You make v3 gearbox assembly [closing] look easy a-thumbsup.gif

Do you want to sell me your trigger spring? :P Mine has too much tension so it requires the second half of the shell before I can move it in place :/

yeahh.. I have such a hard time with v3 gearboxes because of the trigger. You made it look so easy. If I don't keep a finger on my cylinder, it flys out.

If you really want me to, I will. But I'm not going to split my lower receiver for the sakes of the video, because I think you need to glue it back together (like TAMU_John)

I think so, I've never done it, so I can't say. I can't see any screws to separate the two halves, though.

It causes the charging handle to wiggle like crazy. Avoid taking apart if avoidable.

Your workshop is larger than mine! I must buy more tables! a-crazy.gif

edit:

+1 for the body pin trick.
I do all 3 for JG bodies, TM's are stiffer, so only the first 2.

edit2:

also, make sure that you align the sector gear correctly:

Do you have to glue it back together if you do take it apart? To put in capacitators, for example a-wink.gif

About the sector gear, it should be common sense to not engage the piston....and you can't exactly close the mechbox case easily if the tappet plate is ON the sector gear nub. The picture that TAMU posted is, as he said, what it should look like, but the sector gear can be in any position. Not necessarily the closest to the tappet plate.

is there any guides for a reciever breakdown? like for the inner barrel and such? I know it's fairly simple, but just something to base it off of.

Uhm, what are those gold plated things for? I bought an AUG, and it's missing the gearbox plate, and there are no screws. It still will fire if I hold the gear box down, so I'm guessing it's not important.

The gold squares are what hold the back plate screws go into. Your gearbox will still cycle without the back plate, but it won't form as good of an air seal, resulting in FPS loss and massive fluctuations. You need the back plate.
