Hi, would it be fine if my sniper rifle shoots around 480 fps with a 0.43g bb? Is the wind resistance going to be the same problem with a 0.2g bb shooting at the same fps? I mean 500 fps isn't necessary when using 0.2g bb's because of wind resistance but what if its 0.4's?

You should have less wind resistance shooting 480 FPS with 0.43g than shooting 480 FPS with 0.20g. In general you should be using 0.30g or higher for most sniper rifles in outdoor ranges anyways.
I don't understand what you meant by "I mean 500 fps isn't necessary when using 0.2g bb's because of wind resistance but what if its 0.4's?" Did you mean to say that you shouldn't use 0.20g BBs if your sniper rifle rates 500 FPS with 0.20g? You shouldn't be using 0.20g BBs for most sniper rifles anyways...? -------------------- **Check out what I'm selling!**

I calculated the joule of a sniper shooting 480 with 0.4g its almost about twice the joule of a 450 aeg shooting 0.2, so I guess that's gonna hurt? (Well I hope it does since guys in here don't say they're hit <_< makes the game unfair). And if I get pissed, I'm gonna build a 5 joule sniper rifle. Btw, what do you think would be the effective range of this sniper? Thanks! |
