This really isn't a technical test or anything, but while I was downstairs this afternoon I thought I'd try something.
These were 4 BB brands,KSC, TSD, Golden Ball and the beloved Crosman. I just took some pliers and smashed them to see what they would do. The TSD and Golden Ball smashed down but still intact. The KSC fell apart a little easier but the Crosman, better wear goggles because they just shatter. Well, since I got the Crosman's, I'll shoot them in my spring pistols and BAR 10 when I got the stock spring in it and in my TSD M14 Spring Rifle if I can ever find a magazine for it. If I could get them in .30g I'd try them as my sniping ammo, they might be good enough for that but don't know how accurate they'd be. |

If you're afraid of cutting your fingers while you cut the BB in half, you could use something else to hold the BB in place... like perhaps pliers... while using a razor/knife/wire cutters to cut it.
