So I'm planning on buying a KWA M4 S-System that was on sale on the BST forums. My question is however is what type of BBs should I get. If I remember correctly, the owner stated that the gun fires 370ish with .2s. Also, what type of BBs should I get? Thanks.

Good quality ones ;)

"370ish with .2g BB's" you may want to consider .25s, they wont have the same FPS but the will be more accurate

You'll get different answers from different people on what they think is the best BB, though a few that often come up will generally be Maruzen SGM, Bioval BBBMAX, Goldenball, BB King, G&G, Airsoft Elite, and maybe a couple others depending on what weight you're planning on using and how much you're willing to spend.

I personally swear by G&G's but as long as they are one of the brands listed in the above post you should be fine. If you meant what weight I would use .25's but it's up to you.

My personal favorites are Mad Bull and G&G. Mad Bull has great bios that aren't too expensive, and G&G's are superb quality and accuracy. I personally like Mad Bull more for some reason, but whatever. I used to use TSD, but they're horribly inaccurate.

I use TSD Tactical .23s or .25s. Some people don't like them for reasons I have never heard or understood but I'm perfectly fine with them! a-wink.gif

BB censored2.gif apparently makes good BBs.

EDIT: It censored it out. It's essentially the second B word, after the one that illustrates a female dog.

This is definitely worth taking a gander at:
Different brand comparisons
Different brand accuracy tests
Different brand comparison (biodegradable)

Definitely go for Bioval or BB King, all the way. The best BB's on the market and the best budget BB's on the market, respectively.
SGM's don't count, they cost more than pure unicorn horn powder.

I had to look it up, since I forgot which region they are most commonly found in, but they are generally going to be less common in places that are not Canada. In the past I've heard that these, Blaster Devils, and others are good, but again, some of them have regional availability.

But make sure to be aware that those tests are from nearly 5 years ago and only comparing .20g BBs. It's fairly irrelevant when considering using BBs that are heavier and when half of what are considered to have the best performance aren't even there.

I've always had good success with G&G's, Airsoft Elite's, and the ASGI rebranded Madbull BB's. TSD's, I've had a mixed bag (pun not intended)

The vast majority of these BBs are nothing more than rebrands. The BB Bastage brand in Canada is the same brand as Madbull, Javelin, Guarder, WE and others labeled from this OEM manufacturer.

Most people know that "Madbull" was the original company who started selling the heavy weight sniper BBs from Taiwan last year. Everyone knows they only made the .36 in green, the .40 in orange, and the .43 in black - and none of these in white colors. The truth is they were one of these first companies to put their label on these BBs from another OEM manufacturer, which many other companies have followed suit in. If you think it's just a coincidence that Guarder, Javelin and WE only offer .36 40 and 43 in green, orange and black; then you've clearly lost all your marbles. Just look at the links below for confirmation on this.

The truth is there are only about 5 real manufacturers of BBs in Taiwan. G&G, KWA, ICS and HFC are known BB manufacturers. It's still not entirely clear whether SRC is making BBs rebranded TSD Tactical, or some other factory that was using the name Stealth. There may be a couple of others whose names would not be recognized in the USA, but that's about it on that island. Sometimes the distributors themselves don't even know the exact plant the BBs originally came from.

Vanaras is another of those that are rebranded in the .40g and .43g weights:
http://rsov.com/index.php?target=products&...product_id=3783
http://rsov.com/index.php?target=products&...product_id=3784

Their .36g BBs are not the same though (http://rsov.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=3037), but are black in color, and if I recall, they were available before the green/tan/black .36/.40/.43 BBs came out.

From what I've read, it seems as if there may be different batches that each company has, since it would seem to make sense that if the BBs are coming from the same factory, they should all have the same consistency and/or performance, but they apparently don't and some do significantly better than others. It could have just been a fluke, though.

I did a quick, skirmish/practical-style test a couple of weeks ago with 3 brands: KSC, Airsoft Elite and BB King. All weights were .25 grams. The AEG used shoots ~300 fps with .25's, King Arms chamber, KWA 2G bucking and Prommy 363mm barrel.

The following is the observations made by me and my teammates.

KSC had more overall range (not effective mind you) than the other two brands. This probably had to do with the fact that I was able to use more hop-up with them. Not sure if they are heavier than stated, or if this was for some other reason.

AE/BB King had very similar performance from a practical shooting perspective (not bench shooting). Both had excellent effective range with better groupings (near the end of their trajectory) than the KSC.

I will be testing .30's (KSC/BB King) in the near future after I upgrade my M4.

What do you know - King Arms is now "making" BBs. And... if it's not the strangest thing I've ever seen, their .36 40 and 43 are only available in green, orange and black respectively. Is that not the most odd thing in the whole world - take a look
