OK,so yesterday I was taking my son to music class and at the bottom of our street I seen some kids playing airsoft,thats not a problem,though.

First off,they where playing right at the street and shooting across the street.One house is empty and the other is about 100'' the road and I did'nt see any neighbors outside.So I don't think any of the other nieghbors would get hit,but you never know.But playing at the street and shooting across it don't cut it either.

I would have went on my business and not said anything,but when I seen they were not wearing any type of eye protection I felt I had to stop and chew them out about getting their eye shot out.They said OK,and when I pulled off they started playing again.
But if I seen them playing aroung my yard I for sure would have put a stop to it.

My son asked "Are you gonna stop by the police station and tell them?",(it's right down the road) and I said no.And then what do you know,a 1/4 mile down the road I seen a city police car and knew he was making one of his many daily rounds and was gonna go up our street and I sure he would have seen them anyway.So I flagged him down and told him "I don't mind kids play airsoft,but they are playing in the stree and with out eye protection,maybe you can talk to them and scare it into them,because I don't want one to get an eye shot out.

Yes,I'm a taddle tale and told the police,but if one of those kids lost an eye I would feel even worse if I did'nt try to warn them.Plus if one did get an eye shot out,that would be another reason an "anti-gun freak" to try to ban it because they think it's so dangerous.

There are people walking down the street all the time,cars going by.If they are hiding behind a tree and are focused on the other kids,when they pop out to shoot they may not see that person walking in the BBs path or see the car with the window rolled down.Or some one could have call 911 and said "I just saw some people running around my house with guns." And that would'nt be too pretty either.


So,should I have minded my own business or did I do the right thing?
How would you have handle a situation like that?
