AFTER,
You have several options. a) As already mentioned, you could simply solder the wire back on. b) You could solder a 2.0mm MALE bullet connector (BC) to the wire that leads to the motor, and a FEMALE 2.0mm BC to the wire that goes to the battery. The 2mm BC is small enough to allow you to thread the wires through the "delta ring channel" if you need to disassemble your gearbox. Any larger BCs (such as 3.5mm BCs) wouldn't work, although they offer less resistance. On this occasion, I would replace the existing fuse with a PTC (positive temperature coefficient/resettable fuse) that you can get at Digikey.com or Newark.com. You would never need to replace a fuse again! ;) BTW, NEVER run a gun without a fuse. I don't want to start a huge discussion about the latter topic, but with all due respect to my fellow airsofters, removing a fuse is plain dumb!!! The following picture shows the resettable fuses (shrouded in black heat shrink). For the purpose of shooting photos, the golden 2.0mm BCs (close to the delta ring) have not been wrapped in heat shrink yet and are therefore completely exposed. Don't worry about that black "sausage"--it's just a MOSFET. ![]() Jawz |
