I am new to airsoft- picked up a used Tokyo Maurui Ak-47 that was professionally upgraded . I'm running a 9.6 Nicad(just got a new battery)have a Smart Charger and an Intruder Shop discharger. I do not shoot the gun alot. Occasional skirmishes with my kids and general plinking. I'm still shooting from the original charge (charged on March 1st )and was wondering if I should continue to shoot till it dies and recharge or discharge and recharge it. I am aware that the battery will not last forever and there is a finite number of charges.I was wondering if it would affect the memory by letting it stay in a discharged state for so long.
