Battlestar Galactica Airsoft Scenario
History: The evil robotic Cylons have overthrown their human masters and have launched a full scale war against the Humans on the planet Caprica. The Cylons have designed a way for their robotic agents to infiltrate the Human's ranks. By making their own Cylon robots look just like ordinary human, which means that they have the same weaknesses and strengths as the Humans do. And there are many copies of these human-like Cylons (and no, I did not make this up since we can't build our own robot soldiers, this was how it was like in Battlestar Galactica). Prolog: After defecting to the Cylon faction, Baltar is trying to reach the Cylon Outpost and await his extraction. But little does he know that the Humans (commanded by Major Lee 'Apollo' Adama) are planning on assassinating him before he has a chance escape. And they also plan to destroy the Cylon outpost before Apollo and his squad can be extracted. The Cylons must do their best to prevent Baltar's assassination and destroy the Human strike force. The Human's must assassinate Baltar, plant a bomb at the Cylon outpost, and then make it to the extraction zone to win. The Cylons will automatically win if they kill Apollo, or Baltar can make it to the outpost and remain their safely for 15 min. The ratio for Humans to Cylons should be 2:1 Objectives for the Human Team (objectives 2 and 3 don't have to be completed in order): 1. Meet up with Apollo. 2. Assassinate Baltar. 3. Successfully destroy the Cylon outpost. 4. Rendezvous at the extraction point to escape. 5. Keep Apollo alive. Objectives for the Cylon Team (objectives can be completed in any order): 1. Rendezvous with Baltar's bodyguards. 2. Escort Baltar to the Cylon Outpost, prevent his assassination, and have him remain at the Outpost for 15 min. to automatically win. Although if Baltar dies, the game will still keep going and the Cylons must try to win by using other means. 3. Protect the Cylon outpost, (1 or 2 Cylon players start off at the outpost). 4. Prevent the Humans from reaching the extraction point. 5. (This objective is optional) Kill Apollo (or all of the Humans) and you will automatically win the game. Hits are divided up into 2 categories: Headshots: If you are shot here, than this hit will count for 4 points against your health. Chest Shots: If you are shot here, than this hit will count for 1 point against your health. Note: Limb shots do not count in this scenario. Heroes and important players: Apollo: (Human commander) and his squad are launching an assault on a Cylon base so they can assassinate Baltar, and demolish a Cylon outpost. Apollo will start off in a separate group with one other person and they will then have to locate and join the rest of the Human players before the other objectives can be completed (for added realism, give the Apollo player a map of the playing area). Apollo can take 5 hits before he "dies". If he dies than the Cylons automatically win. The Apollo player can be armed with whatever he wants to use. Apollo's role is essentially that of a Team Commander/Assault. Apollo must be wearing something to distinguish himself from the other Human players. Apollo's guard: His job is to accompany Apollo until they reach the rest of the group. Once they both reach the group, the guard can choose whether or not to keep accompanying Apollo. If he does not choose to accompany Apollo, the guard will now become a regular Human player. Apollo's guard can take the same amount of hits a normal human player can which is a maximum of 2 hits. He is also armed with any weapon he chooses. Human Demolitions Soldier: His job is to place the bomb at the Cylon outpost. It takes 30 seconds to arm the bomb and 1 minute for the bomb to go off. Anyone who is standing in the bomb's blast radius (you can make it however large or small you want) when it goes off is immediately killed. Anyone on the Human team (even Apollo) can pick up the bomb and assume the role of the Bomber, if the Bomber is killed or if he drops the Bomb. But the bomb can be disarmed if a Cylon player stands next to it for 10 seconds. So whichever Human is currently holding the bomb, they will then assume the role of the Bomber. Baltar: (human scientist traitor and Cylon coconspirator) is attempting to take refuge at the Cylon base. He is accompanied by 2-3 bodyguards that must remain with him at all times. His objective is to reach the Cylon outpost and remain their safely for 10 minutes and the Cylons will automatically win. The Baltar player can only be armed with a Spring/Electric/Gas handgun. Baltar's role is essentially that of a VIP. Note, if Baltar is killed he CANNOT respawn. Baltar can take 2 hits before he dies. Baltar must be wearing something that will distinguish himself from the other Cylons. Baltar's Bodyguards: Their job is to accompany Baltar and see that he is not killed. They must remain with Baltar at all times during the game(except if they are killed, but they must return to him once they respawn) Baltar's Bodyguards can only be armed with SMGs, or any type of handgun. They have the same health as the other Cylons which is a maximum of 2 hits. Rules for the Humans: The Humans should start off with more players on their team than the Cylons. For the Cylons are able to convert "dead" Human players just by tagging a "dead" Human player's body. "Dead" Human players are not able to respawn once they are out, unless a Cylon player tags them and then stands next to them for 15 seconds. This then means that the tagged human player is then converted to the Cylon team and will now fight against the Humans. Although the tagged newly recruited Cylon player has to walk back to the Cylon base, before they can rejoin the game. Human players can take up to 2 hits before they die. "Dead" Human players must remain in the spot that they "died" unless they are converted or moved. Rules for the Cylons: All Cylons start off at the Cylon HQ except for 1 or 2 that will begin at the outpost, and the 2-3 that will accompany Baltar. Cylon players can respawn if they "die" by walking all the way back to the Cylon base and waiting 5 minutes before they resume playing. Cylon players are able to convert "dead" Human players by just tagging them and standing next to them for 15 seconds in order to completely covert them (it doesn't matter where you tag them, it just has to be a player that is out, or in other words "dead"). Once a Cylon player tags a "dead" Human player, and stands next to them for 15 seconds (if someone shoots you before you can successfully make the conversion, and you are out before the 15 seconds are up, the "dead" human player will remain there and will not be converted. If you do succeed in converting them, the "dead "Human player is then converted to a Cylon. That player then has to walk to the Cylon base, once they reach the Cylon base and wait 5 minutes they are then free to resume playing, although they are now on the Cylon side and will be fighting against their former Human team. Cylon players can take up to 2 hits. One player can be appointed to be the Cylon commander, and this player will then control the Cylon team. Note: Baltar is NOT the Cylon commander. Strategies for the Human Team: Try to stay together as much as possible and don't wander very far from the rest of your group. Remember that the players on the Human team only get one life, so make sure you don't waste it. This next tip is probably the most important strategy for the Human team. Guard, Cover, and if forced to, move your teammates that are out (or "dead") to a safe location. Since Cylon players can convert "dead" Human players to the Cylon team just by tagging them. When playing, you and your team will have to make these choices, either abandon your "dead" players because you need to retreat (or don't have enough people), or try to give them cover or move them to a safer location so that it will be harder for the Cylon players to reach and convert them. The game can end very quickly for the Humans if they allow their "dead" players to be converted to the Cylon team. But don't try to go way out of your team's way to protect your fallen comrades. It's okay if a few people on your team are converted to Cylons. Don't risk the safety of your entire team to protect one or two "dead" players. Although as risky as this is, you could leave a "dead" teammate in an open area so you could lay a trap for the Cylons. Also when choosing someone to play Apollo, choose someone who knows more about commanding and leading, than someone who focuses more on all out assualt. Strategies for the Cylon Team: Try to stay together in groups of a least two our three. Also, do your best to keep Baltar alive. While fighting, try to spread out as much as possible instead of clumping together. This tactic is great when trying to surround the Human Team, it makes the Human players work a lot harder to decide who to shoot at or if they should fall back. This next tip is probably the most important strategy for the Cylon Team. Never pass up the opportunity to convert "dead" Human players to your side, unless there are enemies present. Although be cautious when approaching a "dead" Human player, since other Human players may be laying a trap. Note: This scenario is meant to be played with a semi-large group with around 15+ people and will work better with even higher numbers. You can also make the game more interesting by adding a time limit to the game, by changing the amount of "health" the heroes have, adding new "hero or important player" roles, or even changing the bomb time limit. Please feel free to post any comments or suggestions. One last thing, here is a suggested map as to how the scenario should be set up. ![]() Congratulations if you've actually read this whole thing! I know it's long but I hope that everyone enjoyed reading this scenario. And I'm sure that the Battlestar Galactica airsoft fans will like it. Please post here or PM me, if you tried this scenario out, I would be greatly interested in hearing how it went.
