Hey I'm currently working on making an order to get a bar-10, and a full set of upgrades. So I'm wondering if these parts I'm looking to get will work out.
JG BAR 10 PDI 6.01mm TBB (435mm) PDI 330 spring PDI hard piston PDI 9mm spring guide HD PDI V trigger PDI Barrel spacers (8.55mm) wondering if I need more than one pack of these? King arms red hop up bucking Polar Star SCS H-Nub for hop up This post has been edited by Basted: Dec 25 2011, 02:34 PM |

PDI cylinder components (other than the cylinder itself) are usually sub par to Polar Star and Laylax. The main problem is the o-rings have a tendency to fall off. also, I've seen the PDI seperate into 2 parts. here are the parts I suggest:
Madbull 6.03mm barrel PDI w-hold bucking PDI hop up chamber PDI barrel spacers Depending if you want to go with a laylax z-trigger or a PDI v-trigger, you would need only a spring guide and a laylax spring should you go with the z-trigger. If you want a v-trigger, go with polar star piston, spring guide, and a spring. -------------------- ![]() RS SVD |

I'm just wondering if my current build will be successful fps, and accuracy wise. Also I am keeping with stock cylinders for now as I've seen some use them with these high stress parts, atleast until I can afford to upgrade the cylinders too. |

and another thing, SCS doesnt well with the PDI hop up unit. better off using the nub it come with. Or cut the SCS in half and glue half of a regular nub lol Sniper, where did you see those PDI parts break in half? It is true that the O-rings can fall off easily but it's an easy fix with a tiny amount of super glue lol -------------------- Offering tech, modification, repair and custom rifle building services

heres one. and there was another one way back so im too lazy to look for it. the rear end of the PDI piston that catches on the sear that screws on the PDI piston itself destroyed the threads holding them together. And I think the same happened to the cylinder and cylinder head. and sure you can glue the o-ring back on, but it is very common which is why I said it was the "main problem". -------------------- ![]() RS SVD |

He did mention that he used some brute force on it. And he's running a Guarder SP170 which chronos more than 600fps..... So....he should have installed something like a sorbo pad which obviously he didn't. -------------------- Offering tech, modification, repair and custom rifle building services

yeah maybe. But still, doesnt escape the fact that there are more threads about PDI pistons failing than Laylax or PolarStar pistons failing. Not trying to say PDI pistons are crap. Just that there are more reliable pistons.
