Hello everybody, I made an account to post this. I searched for similar topics but I couldn't find anything. I'm on holiday in the Philippines and I just bought a CYMA 030 from a hobby shop. I've bought springers before while on holiday (the country I live in has some really harsh bb gun laws) but this is my first 'proper' purchase and to be honest I know nothing about airsoft guns. Anyway, my pistol doesn't have the CYMA branding on the butt of the pistol. It came in a legit CYMA box (checked on google images - looks exact same), and I got everything in the sales package except for the allen key. My question is,
do you think I've got a fake CYMA? do you think it's just some Philippines release that is slightly different? - Has no orange tip Do you think CYMA is back in business with the branding removed for legal reasons? (but why CYMA box?) Do you think the store I got it from swapped it out on me? And if it is real, what gen do you think it is? (would be a bit annoyed if it's gen1, but people are saying that gen1's were finished years ago) Thanks for any help you can give me, I am really curious as to what's up. Got the 450mAh battery not the 500. And the sights are painted like a gen 2. Obviously I don't have a chrono, all I can tell you is it goes through one side of an empty packet of cigarettes at about 10 metres. Haven't taken it out of the hotel room so I can't tell you how far it goes. But it hurts my hand when I shoot myself, but it won't break the skin. As I said, I've only had crappy springers before, but this one feels like good quality, has a good weight and doesn't feel like it will break if I drop it. I paid about US80 for the gun and 4000 bb's, probably paid more than normal cause I'm white, haha What do you guys reckon? Oh, also, I saw one can buy a 6.01mm barrel - haven't got a ruler or anything with me but this looks real close to 6mm, when I drop a bb in the barrel it goes in flush. Does this sound like a better barrel than what the CYMA 030's ship with? Oh, also, it appears exactly the same as the ones I have seen on youtube aside from the CYMA logo missing, and also on the safety, I can see no unpainted metal behind the button, mine is all black. Ones I have seen on internet have unpainted metal behind the safety. And where the motor is in the butt there's a sticker that says 'Electric Gun Series' Thanks in advance for any information anybody can give me Cheers, Matt |
