Considering that AEP batteries don't have standard plugs, how do you charge a battery without damaging it? Unless there's a smart charger out there that fits them, do you just monitor your battery and check it every 30 mins?

Verisimilitude nailed it. Just be sure to also remember that AEP batteries are Ni-Cad, not Ni-Mh. So you have to discharge them before a full recharge, lest you damage the batteries capactiy. Most decent smart chargers have a discharge function that will immediately recharge upon completion. That's what I do anyways.
Oh, also, if you know which terminal is + and which is -, you can charge with gator clips. It's not ideal, but in a pinch, it'll do. -------------------- ![]() |
