Hi, my name is Thomas Tulanko. I started playing Airsoft in 2007 with a CYMA MP5. It wasn't very exciting until I went to Airsoft Arms this year in Milford. The things they had in that store were amazing! My dad, Carl Tulanko (Board Name: Nightwolf), asked the man behind the counter if he could see the Echo 1 MG249. I was to shy to ask at the moment, but after my dad had a look at it, he passed it to me. It was incredible in both looks and feel. Throughout last year, I would always go and look online for guns. The prices were a little to high for me.

Back to the CYMA. I showed my dad a few months ago and he couldn't believe the realistic look of the gun. At that point, all we had seen were junkie guns, so we thought it was cool. After the visit to Airsoft Arms, my dad and I were open to the wonderful world of Airsoft. We soon got an Echo 1 M4A1 and the CYMA became junk compared to it. I still own the CYMA, just as a reminder of what started the love for this sport. I have not been to any of the main Airsoft events, such as Bioshock, but I hope that I can now that I have a KWA M4A1.

Well, enough of Airsoft in my life. I absolutely love modeling and R/C jets. Although I haven't really flown any jets, I am very interested in the construction of them. I hope that I can get more involved in R/C jets in the future. I love Anything to do with building things. I build model jets and cars all the time, but they don't satisfy the craving. I would love to get a Systema M4A1 Professional Challenge Kit to build. But the price of a Systema, it's just way to much for me at the moment. R/C cars are also another hobby I have. Unlike R/C Jets, I actually race the cars. I have never been to an official race or tournament. I own a Team Associated RC10B4 Factory Team Buggy. I race it around a baseball diamond any chance I get. I have shot a few real steel guns. Steyr Scout, Remington, and a few shotguns to be exact.

Hunting has been something that every Tulanko has done at least once. I need to get my license, but as soon as I do, I'm going hunting with my uncles and my dad. Although I have never gone hunting, I have skinned a few deer. My friend that lives about a five minute walk from my house gets a ton of deer each year. His dad knows a man who hunts for sport and then gives it to him. They get around four-hundred pounds of deer a year.

Now comes my favorite part! I love computers more than anything. My future career is hopefully going to be programming, graphic design, or to be a part of a Motion Capture Team. I play games all the time. When I'm not with my friends or out doing things, you can probably find me glued to a monitor or television. Some of my favorite games would have to be Gears of War, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Halo 3, and many more. My dad HAD a Xbox 360, but it is broken at the moment. I am also a Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Even though I'm into all these things and it seems as if I have not time for anything else, I maintain a 3.84 GPA in my Sophomore year. I've been doing Martial Arts since I was nine years old.

Airsoft is now one of my favorite things. There are about six kids in my school that play Airsoft. My dad and I are hoping to have a lot of the needed gear by January or February. I cannot wait to get out there and play in a big event with my dad. Hopefully I can become another family member in the Airsoft community.

~ Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called "The Present".

A very good intro Thomas, well composed and very informational. Your hard work and positive attitude makes it easy to help get you geared up, as you have earned it. It's going to be a great spring, playing Airsoft with you in the fields. I look forward to it!
