First, a little about me so you know where I am coming from.
I am 23 years old, Certified EMT-Basic, Firefighter, and Trained SWAT Medic. I currently have 60+ hours in Tactical SWAT Medicine Training. I have attended Multiple classes dealing with SWAT and CQB. I am drawing up this guide, for you to take as you want. This is not a "how you have to do it" guide. it is simply, how I was trained and what I was taught. and what works for Us. Take it how you want it, and feel free to ask questions or add your input. First of all, remember, CQB is Close Quarters. It is very fast and high stress. If you stop.... you die. Period. I am going to start off by just going over some basics, with basic illustrations. You have to crawl before you can walk. The Fatal funnel is refered to the area just inside the door, that you must get clear of ASAP!! Using the double Penetration meathod, give the operators the split second advantage over the offender. ![]() Imagine you are the offender, in a room, holding a shotgun waiting for someone to come in. All of a sudden the door flys open, and 2 heavily armed officers rushes in and sweeps around you. you will be stunned and if you happen to get a round off, mostly likely you will miss. This is what keeps us alive and healthy. I will add more to this, if this becomes popular. I apologise for these illustrations, they were done with MS paint while I am here at work. Next up, is the Description of the Double Deep Penetration Once you make your entry, you will procede to the back wall, making sure you check the corners, behind the door, anything. but your primary goal, is to make it to the back of the room. While you are cleaing, when you reach the back wall, make you a quick turn around, making sure NOT to muzzle your partner and check the opposite wall... remember, when making entry, GET CLEAR OF THE FUNNEL!!!!!!!!!! Move fast, and don't sweep with your weapon, keep it trained foward, and use your head to sweet side to side. ![]() Here is a basics of clearing a Large Building. this just covers one hall. ![]() Once the team reaches the end, you will send either left or right side up, to secure the door at the end of the hallway, then you reform your stack, and make your exit of the hall. Hallway Tactics. ![]() Again, this is just something to base your skills off of. I will be posting much more so stay tuned, and feel free to ask any questions. Wow! That is really detailed.... Do you have one dealing with staircases??? (preferably circular ones) Not yet. am working on hallway tactics right now, stairs are going to be quite difficult to draw with paint. I will come up with a way to illustrate it. Check out what LT. had to say. I think he kind of knows his stuff. CLICKY yes he does. The Military uses 4man entry teams. I am trained, to use a 2 entry team, into a average size room. Military, and Civilian tactics differ in their own ways as I said, I did this, as a guide, not an SOP saying you HAVE to do it... I kinda think I know my stuff too... -------------------- If you need to contact me, my AIM is always on. aim: thominatorX

I don't mean to knock it, it is awesome that you are contributing to the forum like this. The more info we can get like this the better. Especially if it from someone with training like you. well ,the way I figure it. if we are going to mimic real units, why not do it right, so they have less to make fun of. I can take an airsoft team, of knowledgeable players, of mature mind and body. train them, and hold them up against some of the best real teams. -------------------- If you need to contact me, my AIM is always on. aim: thominatorX

I have a question... Can you show ways to enter with only one, maybe two people.... That method is called the hand grenade. Really neat guide. It also has real life applications. This post has been edited by Vincent: Feb 27 2007, 05:52 PM -------------------- ![]() |

nice post doc, very detailed. Are you trained for outdoor
combat? -------------------- In april 1912, in the Crna Gora mountains a young and curious girl from Udine
took a picture of a Bosnian accordionist, Mujo Uzicanin, wearing a strange tattoo. Mujo was the grandfather of the Man from Bijeljina and the name of the girl was Modotti. Sorry mom, I'm a sniper "Patience is Virtue" -Sniper Sig edited by staff... please obey posted signature rules. |

Many snipers as well as a ghille suit also wear a "silly" suit in the form of a clown or even a spiderman costume in order to terrorize the terrorist in whats known as "Barry's cough medicine" procedure. :P |
