I have been fairly interested in this new gun, seen the "out of the box reviews" but cannot find a decent shooting test. yes there are a few, some claiming to be at various distances, others at what seems like ten feet.
I am asking those of you who have this gun if they can give me some feedback? What is the max effective range of this gun stock(what bb's were you using, what conditions ect)? What kind of accuracy are you getting at 100, 125, and 150 feet?

I appreciate any feedback.

I saw on Shorty USA that the effective range was"80 yards" but we all know that they tend to exaggerate quite a bit.

Thank you,

Scar

My useless reply:

While I can't give specifics, the sucker is pretty accurate. I was pegging milk-jugs at about 100-150 feet the other day, using .30 gram ammo.
This is with the Echo1 upgrade kit and a Madbull TBB barrel (6.03).

that review still isnt very in depth. I'm looking more for #'s, not just its fairly accurate out to 200', I get lots of hits at 180'. I am just asking if anyone has done any standardizeed accuracy review, like at 100, 125, 150 ect, and reported the groupings.

I have the ASR and while I havent done the total accuracy on a pie plate deal, I can tell you Im reaching out 200 ft. Human sized targets no worries.

The thing is, at that range, wind is kicking my butt. Im useing .28s and they are doing the deed. You can hear the impact on wood at that range.

However between the hopup bucking and the wind. Im not super sure this thing is doing all that it is capable of.

Now at 50 yards. Eh, no worries. Its tight in. Id say milk jug sized grouping no problem. so thats 150 ft right there.

You figure that your average AEG is 40 yards effective, and youve just put 10 yards on him.

Figure you can reach out maybe 60 yards no worries, so you just but 20 yards, 60 ft on the OpFor. And thats 180 ft total.

Actual grouping. Like I said I havent done a paper test. I don't expect it to be great. Because every place you play, every angle you shoot from on a field, is all going to be effected by wind. Except maybe indoors.

So Id say, Torso 100% at 50 yards.

Torso 75-80% at 60 yards

Torso 60-70% at 68 yards.

Untill Mad Bull releases that new bucking for the ASR, these are my best guesses. And once again, Wind and BB makes all the diff so far.

--------------------
Correct definitions are important.
US Servicemen have an M4/M16 = Weapon
Paintballers have a Tippmann A5 = Marker
Airsofters have maybe a JG M4 = Gun.
We need to clairify, Airsoft "guns" are not weapons, they do not kill. They are not markers, as they do not mark. They are "guns" though.
A Rifle, has lands and grooves in the barrel that facilitate a rotation of the projectile, that are collectively known as Rifleing.

may I ask where you ordered it? everywhere I look its sold out.

either way, it will be a great performer stock. and with a 6.03 tightbore and the upgrade kit you can push it even farther.

No worries.

I have upgraded mine with the kit from Echo1. A TBB, and some dremel work on the piston and head.

Currently I have on order a muzzle adapter, and a supresser.

Next I plan on getting some barrel spacers. Then I guess all I have to wait for is the new Mad Bull bucking that I heard a rumor is coming out some time soon.

I think that then it will be at about the top of its potential game.

Yea, I got mine from Airsoft Atlanta at the beginning of June. And they were the only ones I could find that had some, and they only had 4.

then 3.

Now none.

Good luck on your hunt.

Ok. Took my ASR out today.

A little windy.

150 ft. 100% on human torso. Pie plate? No. Torso, yes.

200ft. 60%. Wind was a bugger, and I had to aim high and drop it in. Aim at shoulder, or just above and hit ribs or navel.

On paper? No. Grouping? No.

But honestly, when I see this stuff, its some joker on You-tube shooting a paper plate at 50 ft. Dude, I can do that with my pistol. I care about hitting a person.

At 200 ft. with a moment of relativly calm wind, I put six shots in a row on target.

I didnt do paper. And honestly with out someone recording it on film, would you believe it anyway?

Without the wind, this thing would be a beast. But as is. The wind kicked my butt today.

IN these pictures, be aware, I am 6ft 2 inches and I weigh in at about 270lbs. So that torso maniquine that Im setting up is about regular human size.

Then look at the second pic. Thats what it looks like to take a 200ft shot.

OH, and for range. I used my Garmin Map60 GPS to range out the distance. So + or - five ft.

Ain't nothing that can be done about wind. Oh well...

Man I can't wait to get mine out to a range. All I've been able to do so far is shoot at my neighbor's house down the street.
(No worries... he's a friend and thinks it's funny).

Yea, Ive got a similar target about 50 yards away in a friends yard. Window to playset is about 50 + yards so says google earth. I told him Id come clean up the BBs. He laughed. Then his tool shed is about 200ft. LoL. So in the calm of the morning. When there is no wind, and no one is awake. . . pftd . . . tap!
