I've been playing airsoft for about 4 months now, and we started with just springer pistols. We all used Daisy Shooting glasses which completely protect your eyes. We then upgraded to springer rifles, but the current protective glasses was sufficient. Now, people have been upgrading to gas guns and AEG's, im concerned about protecting peoples faces. Paintball masks have always seemed cumbersome to me, but they do protect a lot of your head. I wear a plastic kevlar helmet when I play, so there is no room for a paintball mask. We all use glasses or ABS plastic goggles, and we're starting to look at baclava's. Especially with it being winter, the baclava's tend to make the goggles fog up a lot. I bought some de-fog spray from Gander Mountain, and it seems to work alright. Does anyone know how to wear a baclava and not have their glasses/goggles fog up? The trapped moisture of breathing into the baclava around the mouth tends to make glasses fog up pretty easily.

Any de-fog tips that will allow someone to protect their whole face?

3 things work REALLY well.

1. Rain-X...the same stuff that you use on cars.
2. Cat's Crap...yes, this is what its really called. look at your hardware or autoshop.
3. your own spit...this is an old diver's trick to keep their goggles clear. however, the only downside is that your spit dries up...and when it dries up, the fog comes back.

I thought Rain-X ate through plastic?
Im using Parker's Perfect right now, from Gander mountain. It seems to work sometimes and sometimes it doesnt.

It's spelled Balaclava. Baclava (actually it's baklava) is a greek pastry.

it works on my shooting glasses with no problems. my goggles are thermal goggles and they don't fog so I'm happy.

ok even without using sprays put on the balaclava and do not (do not) put it completely over your nose. If the goggle are suffiecient they should vent out of the bottom slots where the balaclava is not on and breath through your nose because more heat is kept making the goggles fog when breathing into the mask

are you using it on goggles or glasses? some goggles have their own "crud" on it that prevents fogging. check to make sure you're not doing some serious damage...as in try alittle on an obscure corner and make sure it's not eating away at it. always do this for any chemical that you have no idea how it will react. I do the same thing for new laundry detergent on my clothes...=)

I use glasses well I guess you can consider them goggles.
