I have read a couple of online topics explaining L85's with railing systems. I have seen the Daniel Defense L85 rail system on youtube, but it seems like it cost hundreds, and may not even be avaible to civilians.

If you don't want to spend that much on a rail system your gonna hack, go with the Dboys replica which costs about half. Plus if you screw up the first time your not out $170

is there anybody I could pay to have my gun sent to and have this done for me, or do you think I should buy this myself, do you think it would be easy enough? like any special skills that I would need to accomplish this?

I'm sure a number of people on this very forum could do it.

Looking at the pic again, I don't think you would have to hack it. It's not the greatest reference pic, so I didn't notice that the whole rail was still attached. You could probably do it yourself, with or without help from people on here.

If there are any better picture could you post them, or point us to the website/thread where you found that picture. thanks

although I believe it is the first link that has that picture, the second post of the topic leads to the picture, a man says he used a m4 style casv.

its just a rail its not a full auto lower theres no reason you could not get a hold of one.

So, I am going to try and get the DBoys casv rail, but there is just one thing. the L85 has its own little rail-like thing on the top of the gun, for example, the susat and the carrying handle it comes with. This 20mm rail that comes with the gun, do you think that would come up as a problem, or should I just go ahead and buy this? also, I was planning on getting a PEQ2 box with a 10.8 volt, while having installed a Cheetah mosfet from deep-fire.com. Does this sound safe? Does it sound realistic? does it sound impossible or not? thanks for all the help so far by the way, this is gonna be SO AWESOME



yeah but that would cost me ~$700, and the dboys rail would be like $60 = savings of $640
