I have read a couple of online topics explaining L85's with railing systems. I have seen the Daniel Defense L85 rail system on youtube, but it seems like it cost hundreds, and may not even be avaible to civilians.

I have also read two topics talking about the same thing:
here and
here.

I would really like to do this with my gun, and according to the topic with the picture above, the piece needed to do that would be
here
from king arms

the king arms m4 casv looks like this

do you think this would work with some modification?

Is this photo R.S.? The rail looks incredible. a-blushing.gif The thing is, the slots on the side there don't look anything like the slots on the part that you linked. But if you can come close, that would be great.

If you don't want to spend that much on a rail system your gonna hack, go with the Dboys replica which costs about half. Plus if you screw up the first time your not out $170

is there anybody I could pay to have my gun sent to and have this done for me, or do you think I should buy this myself, do you think it would be easy enough? like any special skills that I would need to accomplish this?

also, I would probably go with the Dboys one like you said, it looks like the exact same, just no custom placed rails, which I am fine with. thanks for the nice find

I'm sure a number of people on this very forum could do it.

Looking at the pic again, I don't think you would have to hack it. It's not the greatest reference pic, so I didn't notice that the whole rail was still attached. You could probably do it yourself, with or without help from people on here.

If there are any better picture could you post them, or point us to the website/thread where you found that picture. thanks

No problem.

what do you mean the whole rail was still attached, I don't quite understand you, you mean the rail is attached to the gun?

although I believe it is the first link that has that picture, the second post of the topic leads to the picture, a man says he used a m4 style casv.

So, I am going to try and get the DBoys casv rail, but there is just one thing. the L85 has its own little rail-like thing on the top of the gun, for example, the susat and the carrying handle it comes with. This 20mm rail that comes with the gun, do you think that would come up as a problem, or should I just go ahead and buy this? also, I was planning on getting a PEQ2 box with a 10.8 volt, while having installed a Cheetah mosfet from deep-fire.com. Does this sound safe? Does it sound realistic? does it sound impossible or not? thanks for all the help so far by the way, this is gonna be SO AWESOME w00t2.gif

yeah but that would cost me ~$700, and the dboys rail would be like $60 = savings of $640 headbang.gif

As a moderator, I 'd LOVE to see where you found that rule. AFAIK, only threads in the Buy/Sell/Trade section can be bumped.

At risk of getting warning, I'm necro posting to give this topic closure for those that may search for it later on.

I added rails to my L85 using a CASV, here is a picture topic:
http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/VLTOR-Ga...A2-t191724.html

and here is my how to topic:
http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/add-rails-L85-t191723.html

Again, to the mods, Sorry for the almost year old necro, I just wanted to confirm the info in this thread.

We consider a necro post, to be a NON-Useful post in a topic that is old.

Your post however brings some new info to the table, and is appreciated.

btw: Very nice looking L85 with that CASV on there. Almost looks like a modernized non wood version of a walther 2000
