Since theres a huge load of "are these bbs good?", "which bbs should I use?" and similar threads on this board, I thought I'd compile a list of good bbs for you new airsoft enthusiasts.
Good brands: Airsoft Elite Bioval TSD Tokyo Marui G&G BB King P-Force KSC GoldenBall Marushin STRAIGHT Maruzen Systema ToyTec Decent brands: Matrix AIM Fidragon Inertia Stealth Tsunami Excel JBU ECHO 1 Madbull Javelin Crossman WE ICS Guarder By decent I mean usable or I don't have enough experience/reviews to put it in good but I've read enough to know they're somewhat usable. Remember to never use .12gs or 6mm paintballs and don't be afraid to get heavier than a .2g. If the brand of BB you're using or are considering purchasing is not on this list, I either forgot to list it, it's terrible or I've never heard of it. Feel free to add on to this list if there are any new BB manufacturers or there are BBs that you want to share your experiences with. Great job. One thing I disagree with though. I would consider TSD bbs decent. Their .25s are very very inaccurate.

Cool, only problem is, I guarantee this will turn into a huge arguement.
Once everybody's unbunched their panties over brand injustices, and appropriate amendments have been made, this could be a useful guide. -------------------- Want to get into classics cheap? ![]() ![]() DON'T SEND ME "WHICH GUN" PMs. They're flooding my inbox, I won't reply. |

I don't think it will be so much an argument as it will just be varying personal experiences. I would add PHX, Vanaras, and SIIS as decent. And, in my own personal experience, I would keep Stealth as decent, but sort of low on the list (like if there were a step below, but not "unusable"), since they are okay. I've used the .25g ones and they were on the light side (average of 0.232g), rather hard to see (OD in color), and have fairly poor diameter consistencies (a 0.17mm difference between the smallest and largest I measured). I would potentially move Inertia up to good, but actually could keep it in decent because they are black and thus hard to see, and they are only 0.20g BBs (though they averaged 0.212g).

Certain brands to use with 6.04s and 6.03s, brands you should stay away from in terms of tightbores, and the bb's you shouldn't ever use (and only use) in 6.01 and 6.00s would be a great thing to add into this.
With the help of experienced members here, this could become a really good thread. I bet Tux would be great in here. -------------------- If you're tired of seeing that "I'm cool because I know the difference between a mag and a clip," bull crap, then don't add this to your sig, just sit and nod in agreement.

I disagree that Mad Bull is "decent." They should be moved up. Their BBs are VERY well made, and they don't have bubbles (at least the bios don't).
I would love to see a test where someone would compare all the different types of BBs and rate them on speed, grouping, and how well they're effected by hopup. Also, Crosman BBs are far from decent. A guy at my field accidentally loaded one into his TM G3, and it jammed it. I've also seen BBs with huge bumps, two or more fused together, cracks, and lots of other things that just SCREAM out "don't use these BBs." I would move ToyTec up to "Good". I used a few of those, P-Force, and Airsoft Elites at a game. The latter two both performed the same, but the ToyTec's were slightly more accurate. I plan to completely switch to ToyTec this year.

Well I put Mad Bull in decent because I saw a thread with a bunch of ridiculously deformed ones and I didn't think they should be put in good if people have experiences like this one: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Defectiv...Bs-t157707.html and I put Crossman in decent because a good amount of people say they're usable. But, I guess everybody gets good and bad batches of BBs. -------------------- I think I'm supposed to have a signature, so here it is. I hope you like it.

Great info on here, but I would have to disagree with Toytec and Excel being only decent. Personally, I have had better results with these than Airsoft Elite BBs.

With those two I just couldn't find enough reviews to convince me to put them in good, but it sounds like Toytec makes good BBs. I'll move it up. -------------------- I think I'm supposed to have a signature, so here it is. I hope you like it.

Heres a link to a BB comparison test. The guys/gals at Airsoft Mechanics did a bunch of tests using common BB brands, like weight consistency, diameter consistancy, etc.
The link provided is the result grouping consistency at 35 feet, but there is much more that might catch your interest. http://www.airsoftmechanics.com/home/conte...iew/18/26/1/14/ |

Then, of the 12 types (and 10 brands) in that particular test, at least half aren't all that common anymore (or what I would consider to be common) and we have plenty of new brands available. If anything, I would believe some of the comparisons below are slightly more relevant. http://www.6millimeter.info/joomla/index.p...2&Itemid=42 http://www.6millimeter.info/joomla/index.p...4&Itemid=42 http://www.6millimeter.info/joomla/index.p...1&Itemid=42 http://www.6millimeter.info/joomla/index.p...3&Itemid=42 Also another thing I forgot to mention in my previous post that I was reminded of in those links above is that there are also more types of BBs that are good and decent that aren't on the list that are generally only available in certain regions. |

Useless List - to less information. eg: 0.20g & 0.25g of the same brand makes often differences.
Madbull is the worst we tested here. You should also consider prices and use. Bio or not? etc. -------------------- |
