a-famerican.gif All right. I am a newbie at air soft, but sniper isn't (ahh I think the word is void) isn't void to me.
So I might be thinking of myself to high so tell me if these tips are correct or not.

1.As the old saying goes Patience is a Virtue
In another words have patience at everything

2.Quiet at all times or radio when at distances from the enemy
Remeber you are sometimes the eyes of the squad so being hidden and quiet is very important
Develope hand talk if one of your allies is close and the enemy near
Radios are nice but not always (as me being a newbie I don't know if you can have radios in tournys or not)

3.Don't hesitate, but think first
If you know that guy is an enemy wait for it tell absolute clear shot
If you don't know he's an enemy then you don't got a clear shot

4.Plan what he could do if you miss
DON'T MISS lol

5.Plan what his buddy will do when you strike
Easily said

6.Stay hidden no matter what
Well not always
If the enemy walks right by you and doesn't see you don't shoot unless you know hes alone

7.Pick your target, breeth normal, ease the trigger, reload, and pick your next target
Breeth man breeth lol
Ease the trigger and lol don't flinch and keep your eyes open
Reload while still being quiet and hidden

8.Have your sidearm ready
You never know what could happen out there in the big bad world lol
Well he could sneak up on you and a twig could snap and well easy full auto kill
Not always

9.High ground is good, but not always
High ground is good if its only high ground around
Low ground is sometimes better

10.Know your surrondings
Very usefull in backyard skirmishes

11.Ah lets see did I miss something
Oh yea don't think to highly of yourself
Don't underestimate your enemy

12.Have fun and be really really really really really really really really really really really really really really quiet.
Plus don't censored2.gif if you get shot. IT'S ONLY A GAME.

Well how'd I do? Any comments are welcome. a-famerican.gif

Seems pretty good to me. Execpt for part of number 7. After you shoot, do not immediately re-cock your gun because if you missed or someone is near the tengo, they might see you movement, unless time is a factor and you need to get 2 quick kills. (shouldn't be more than 2)

Yeah, you pretty much have the basics. You should try to compare your tips to the ones in the Tactics thread.

okay. well pretty good but number 8, 2, and 6 are a bit unneccary. first I recremond a side arm only as a last ditch effort that means if you have NO MORE AMMO OR YOU CAN'T SEE ANY GUNS LYING AROUND. a radio is a bit over board I mean if the area is like a whole mountain area yeh get a couple walkie talkies but as a sniper a radio means 2 very bad things.

1: extra weight to heave around

2: if it does go off YOU WILL BE FOUND once one guy finds a sniper he will scream like MJ rapping a boy and it will be hard as hell to hide yourself.

now the staying hidden is a concept that I can agree on but at all times is something that maybe and thats
A BIG MAYBE.
what I like to do is to pop at one point and move back into hidding. popping in and out succesfully can cause choas within the enemy and the lose sight that your just one sniper and they forget about the rest of your team allowing a killling.

hopefully this helped you out.

III- You should also observe your enemies and see whose elimination will be most detrimental to your enemies.
VI- Even so, you might not want to shoot. If the enemy is on patrol they might be radioing in status reports.
VII- Shoot in between breaths, and cock your rifle underneath a veil and when no one is able to hear you (such as when your enemies are making a great fuss over you eliminating their squad leader).
XI- Know yourself, and your enemy. If you only know yourself, you only know about how you would and should react to certain situations, not what the enemy will do and/or how they will do it. If you only know your enemy, you only know what they will do and how they will do it, not how you would and should react to certain situations.

Your guide is not a complete one, but what you have is decent. Good job.

QUOTE
9.High ground is good, but not always
High ground is good if its only high ground around

If there's higher ground nearby, then you're not on highground. Highground is better because it forces an enemy to move uphill in order to get to you. This will both slow them down and tire them out. Being on high ground also means that you can retreat from your position without being in the enemy's line of sight. It also means you have better observation, and lessens the amount of cover the enemy can take on the approach to you.

QUOTE
Low ground is sometimes better

Low ground is only useful if it's dead ground. Dead ground is simply an area that for one reason or another the enemy cannot see. Often times there are small patches of low ground that are also dead ground, because it falls below the enemy's line of sight, blocked by the surrounding high ground. You should ALWAYS move through dead ground if you can, since it prevents an emey from spotting you.

Id like to call for an end to these sniper guides that say the same thing as all other ones posted. Sorry if this is taken is rude, but guides to sniping don't need things like "lol" typed in them. So many times these guides are typed by 10 year olds who feel that people really want to hear about their u-ber (don't know how that word came to mean what it does) skill that really don't exist. Just my two cents. If you are going to write a "guide", actually put some time, thought and research into it.

Brilliant. I agree.

U-b-e-r
is a German prefix meaning above or super, or a word meaning above, or super. I am not sure about what it means when thrown into a sentence composed of English words, but slang is something that I do not keep up with until I need to.

What? Please type in English (American or British, either one works).
