I was just looking around in the KWA Proshop today and I clicked on the SR10 because I plan on getting one sometime in the future. I looked at the specs and noticed that the stock inner barrel diameter is apparently 6.05mm. Would this qualify as a tightbore? If so, thats pretty awesome, also considering that these come with the 2G bucking already. These things should be pretty dang accurate out of the box. a-grin.gif

6.04 is the industry standard for a barrels diameter to be a tightbore. But 6.05 is pretty good! I think I would change out the barrel, though. G&G's supposedly come with 6.04's in 'em, but my M4's accuracy was pretty poor when it was up and running. I mean, yeah it was good, but not great.

Oh and that's one hell of a sexy gun right there. I didn't know the KWA's looked that nice... good choice.

If you're tired of seeing that, "put this in your sig," or the "I'm cool because I know the difference between a mag and a clip," bullsh-t, then don't add this to your sig, just sit and nod in agreement.
Got a question about the A&K SR25 or E1 M1014? Please, PM me!

When I first read it, I thought I had a brain malfunction or something. For a second my mind clicked and went to "6.5mm holy crap thats horrible!" a-cheesy.gif But then I saw the "6.05" sure enough, very near a tightbore. But yeah, theres no reason to keep a stock barrel. Would be the first upgrade I would do (since it already comes with the 2G bucking).

Sexy is right. The RIS, flip sights, and battery crane stock are what sold me.

DM Hackle and I both think it's 6.05mm and under is a tightbore.

Then by your standards the new KWA's come with stock tightbores. Woohoo a-grin.gif . But seriously, I want one of these. In fact I'm going to drive to california and steal one. The gas would be cheaper than actually buying it...

The older ones also had the 6.05mm inner barrels. G&G's 6.035mm barrels are nicer IMO though.

Wow really? I would not have thought so. My only upgrade to my KWA M16 BR before I epicly screwed up the wiring was the 2G bucking. My accuracy was not that great, if it was a 6.05. Then again, it was a stock barrel so what can I expect?

Even though the stock barrel may be a TBB, get an EdGi if you want to see some nice improvement.

I've ordered a Madbull 6.03 545mm (have a barrel extension, and don't want to buy new cylinder) from a local shop. Yea, EdGi is working specifically with KWA, oh well. Madbull will do for now.
