I'm looking at getting the above battery for my new KWA SR10, but I'm not very familiar with the LiMn chemistry, so I have a few questions.

Can I use a LiPo charger to charge LiMn batteries? Also, do LiMn cells need to be balanced like LiPo's? And one more... Is it as bad to fully discharge LiMn cells as it is LiPo cells? Thanks! a-grin.gif

Don't bother. That price it crazy high. I've spent about half that on batteries and chargers and I have 4 lipo's and a balancing charger... It's much cheaper to just go lipo. And if you have a decent amount of common sense it's just as safe.

Yeah, that's a total ripoff. I find Lipos for $25 at my hobby store, that work fine for airsoft.

I know that battery is expensive, and I'm not saying I'm going to get that one. I just gave you all the link so you could see what kind of battery I am talking about. I've researched both LiPo and LiMn, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go LiMn. They're not near as likely to explode (even though I know that is avoidable with LiPo's if you take care of them, which I do take care of my stuff), and you don't have to balance the cells. They're safer and require less maintenance, so I'm going with LiMn. I'm sure I can find a cheaper one somewhere else. Does anyone know if a LiPo charger can charge LiMn batteries?

I'm sure the Imax B6 can, and it can also charge LiPo and NiMh.

Balancing cells isn't extra work... I don't know why that matters...
