Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, I'm mudpie, and I have an AK-47 and MP5 airsoft rifles.
Now, someone in my family appears to have "missplaced" my AK-47 magazine, and I wanted to buy a new one. I was wandering, because one of my freinds told me that I could get an M4 magazine on the AK, and it would still work. Is this true? Because it would be extremely helpful, as they are about half the price of the AK mags. Also, are the standard bb's for all the airsoft rifles 6mm? Here is a picture of my AK: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...rsoft_AK-47.JPG (Not mine precisely, but good enough.) This is the M4 mag I was thinking of: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jing-Gong-M4-M16-300...=item563df86275 And this is the AK one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jing-Gong-AK47-600-r...922473791450962 Thanks - Mudpie This post has been edited by Mudpie: Jul 19 2010, 10:13 AM |

Not without extensive modification. The hopup and the magazine will not line up

So I should just buy the AK-47 one that I put in the picture?

Yes, just get an AK magazine. I don't think it's even possible to mod an AK to take STANAG mags...

Buy from one of the HK retailers, such as RSOV. There is no reason why AK mags should be twice as expensive as M4 mags.

This is a funny question because I am wondering if I can fit AK mags onto the M4 I'm going to "personalise"
I personally would not try this out... because there is a potential high money % waste factor, and you don't sound like you're ABSOLUTELY SURE that it'll work. |

No, the magwell is too small, and it wouldn't feed anyhow. If an Ak can't take m4 mags, how could an m4 take ak mags? However, king arms makes m4 mags that look like ak mags.

Actually, there is a magwell out there that makes a AK accept AR type mags. I just have to find it again though, but I've heard it fed quite good.

OK, thanks guys, I will just buy another AK mag.
Also, I have a CYMA MP5, which is great, but: Today, I was going to use it, trying it out before I went out with my brother to shoot each other, and I pulled the trigger but no bb's shot out. I took it apart, but I think the motor might of died. When I shot it, it made a kind of muffled grinding sound. What should I do? This post has been edited by Mudpie: Jul 19 2010, 02:15 PM |

It probably can't be done. there is an adapter to fit an M4 mag on P90's and one for G36's.

what up bro's.. here is my question.. is there a magwell conversion to mp5 mags for the ak First off, please don't necropost. Second, I'm not sure, but I seriously doubt it. MP5 magwells are a lot smaller thank AK magwell, and I don't think it would work anyway. Besides, an MP5 with AK mags, if you ask me, would look quite dumb. -------------------- Shenco Elite Airsoft Team

this is dumb to go and post and add to somebodies necro. I hate when people necro cuz when I see a thread close to the top of the first page I assume its a recent thread. and its my fault that I don't look at the dates, but ive already previously assumed it was recent due to its placement on the first page. and then after reading the entire thread to find out its old and necroed. ....waste of time
but I did have a thought to add. the ops friend was either an idiot or he saw a galil and though it was an ak and saw its mag which looks like an m4 mag. either that or his friend saw a pic of somebody with a galil mag in their ak, cuz theyre interchangable now the magwell lip attatchments can look pretty cool on ak's but if you want that m4 mag look for your ak then why bother doing mods or buying magwell adaptors? just find some ka or cyma galil mags and buy them. quickest and easiest right there oh and khmountain is a great place to get a wide selection of mags for super cheap -------------------- |
