Hi! Just wanna know how to maintain an m203 shell. I've heard that grenade shells are the least reliable in airsoft. They look so simple, yet so many problems!

I don't know about prescribed maintenace, but I just keep 'em lubed up with silicone spray. A shot up the button hole (hehe) every five uses seems to work ok. When I was playing regularly, I'd take the thing apart (I recommend you only do this if you know how to put it back together) and clean any grime buildup and spray the o-rings. Between that and just keeping it out of the dirt (hard to do if playing outdoors) and you'll have many years of service.

BTW, Evike has a kit for replacing the o-rings and the steel balls for the valve. don't know what the kit fits as I've never had to replace anything on my 203 shells.

So about how many times do you think you have used ur grenade shells? I'm just getting observations so I know how long my grenades wil be in service for me lol.

Thanks for the help. Helps alot!

I've had mine for about three years and I bought it used. I cant even count how many times I've used it, but it was several times during a day of playing, and I used to play every week. I didnt start the maintenace until after a year. My valve was sticking so bad, I'd have to take it apart every other time to get the button to reset. Once I started doing some periodic maintenace, mostly the silicone spray, it never gave me any problems.
