I've searched all over Google with multiple keywords, Jing Gong, Jing Gong airsoft, JG airsoft, and all of them just lead me to retail websites. I've been thinking of getting an M4A1 and want some more info (and maybe some high quality picture to drool over) but I cant find Jing Gong's official website. Is there one?

Tokyo Marui is severely (if not completely) cutting down its production of airsoft guns, and is going to make model trains now. I believe they are still going to produce their current models, but don't expect any new models in the future.

They ended it with The new type 89 folding stock.....

Its because of The new china models , They are as good as marui but way cheaper, I think tokyo marui found that out and is now getting out before the lose anymore money

For those you who aren't old enough to remember Tokyo Marui didn't start out as airsoft company. They were into making remote control cars and other toys. So for them switching focus to Trains doesn't surprice me as their AEG design pattern is running out next year. So it's not just because of China airsoft. In fact, you are going to see the quality of Taiwanese AEG going up in quality and with more selections in then next 6 months .... Next year is going to be quite an interesting year for airsoft.

I know, I was pretty surprised myself that one of the greatest airsoft makers makes model trains as well. Pretty cool though. As a few other people have mentioned, they also make(made) RC cars and other hobbyist "toys" like that.

I believe TM is still going to come out with the TMP, there only announced gun that hasn't been released yet (as far as I know).

^^there's still a handful of guns they promised to come out (eg. 10-inch Desert Eagle) so its kinda weird to say the Type 89 Para is the last gun they will make...

TM's known for high quality; in their cars, tanks, airsoft guns, and trains (now)....

They will still be a "hobby manufacturer" but won't make airsoft anymore...

Back on topic, JG doesn't have a website, and neither do any of the other ACM manufacturers. As I understand it, producing airsoft guns is a capital crime in mainland China, or at least merits imprisonment, so it's not wise for them to advertise on the web like that. It's best if nobody knows where they are and so forth.

Does HongKong have the same law? I know its part of China but they govern themselves so maybe there's an exception to airsoft manufacturing there....that's why all the ACM guns usually say "made in Hong Kong", if not "made in China"...

Seriously? Where did you hear that? Aren't almost all airsoft guns made in china (besides of course TM)? I would think that customs would be able to stop them if it was really that illegal.

Most of the airsofter here in US are pretty simple minded. The answer however is never that simple.

So Yes... making replica guns is REALLY illegal in China. These ACM guns are operated under a loop holes in the law. If you want to import those AGM you have to go through agents who's knows how to deal if export laws and local law enforcement in China. They don't really like to talk about this in the open. Some call it bribery, some call it export fees.... but it's true.

As for Hong Kong, It's under a different administrative rule since 1997 when England handed HK back to China. And they have their own government.

A nice bribe goes a long way, cops are the same there as they are here.

But beyond that, many of the factories in china are owned by the chinese military. It's possible that the PLA owns the factories, or has stake in them, and that's why they're allowed to keep producing.

And of course, I'm sure the chinese government gets a percentage of what they make as well.

^^ corruption in communist countries are far worst than in other parts of the world....but let's not get into that..

Nope... not at all. HK is still pretty much a free market. Have their own currency and stock exchange. The complete name is Hong Kong S.A.R. which means Special Administrative Region. China central government do not have direct control in HK government directives because it's specified in the agreement with England that after the hand over, HK remain mostly unchanged for the next 50 years.

If im expending $400 on airsoft guns, I preffer three fair weapons with fair quality, fair power and in most cases highly upgradeable, one for every need, than a single TM.
And it is not just me, believe me.
Thousands of people are buying good quality china brands.
You TM guys have in most cases never used a china gun..... just automatically consider them crap.

so if one wanted to go into bisuness with the major players in airsoft how in the world would you get ahold of any of them? go to china? how did the retailers here do it.
