The odd bag on the back is a bit awkward, and not appealing on the eyes. Do you have a front sight or optic? All I see is a rear BUIS.

I know I know haha, its a chopped up gameboy pouch, although its not very awkward for a righty like me. I only use it because im not paying $20 for a magazine pouch/stock bag thingy when I can just use this /budgetsofter FTW, plus it fits my large battery, my mini battery and my speedloader.

the front flip sight (along with a VN type mag and BBs) is in the mail a-salute.gif

The short rail with 14.5mm barrel and regular retractable stock is definitely not how we do.

if that was a real gun, I don't think it'll be functional with a short gas tube, atleast not for very long

What about those M4 Patriot pistols, and other M4 "assault pistols?"

A barrel to match that RIS would blind you and shoot out a 3 foot fireball. I never get in airsoft why people use 7 inch barrels, but then don't use the correct flashhider/compensator. A birdcage flash hider on a 7 inch barrel would pretty much make the gun useless. Madbull makes two products that would make it realistic (Diablo front set and the noveske thing, plus I'm sure some one makes a replica of the compensator that is on the M7A1.) A suppressor would be realistic also.

The MP7A1 uses a birdcage flash hider, not a compensator. It's just smaller to compliment the 4.6mm round. Even if Madbull did make one, it wouldn't fit a standard barrel.

Troy M7A1, not H&K MP7a1. Google it.

Now that I went and completely read Troy's sight, it also uses a Novekse KX3, they just paint it black.

Minor updates.... Very Minor...

Plasti-Dip added to grips and stock... Feel very good in your hands and improves grip... This stuff is spray on and avail at most hardware stores...

Yes I went a bit overboard with the Camo Form Tape, but I was using it to hold the front end in place while some Epoxy set... It is not so ugly right now.
Well not as ugly.

Crayola and Heat gun markings.... I also finished off with clear teflon fingernail polish to keeps them fresh and clean.. By using the Fingernail polish, you can always remove it and do them again... I chose Orange for semi because I see so many people do it the right way with blue.. I always want to be different.

Ace, how is the space compared to the normal buffer tube in a UBR? More or less? Even if its really miniscule I would like to know. I'm trying to fure out if it will fir my Extreme-Fire SW-AB-Long, it doesnt fit my buffer tube. I mean it would if the wiring was longer, but its right at the opening.

Anyways. The first Magpul'd 416.

Well, I have a Programmable MOSFET (1.5 inch long?) as well and it fits along with a 7.4 Lipo. I am sure if you shortened the wiring and tweaked with it you could probably fit an 11.1v lipo. The buffer tube seems a LITTLE bit bigger than normal one, but nothing to write home about.

However, due to the increase amount of wires from the mosfet, you may need to dremel a small groove on the body where the buffer tube attaches to ensure you do not pinch your wires.

Anyways, I LOVE the UBR stock and I highly recommend it to other whom are interested.

Ive got a CTR atm, so yeah. The UBR is cool also though, I will pick it up if it fits, if not I can wait. Its not a battery issue its that the MOSFET wiring is too short to make it into the buffer tube. I would have to drill a hole in my buffer tube.

Here is my issue

*Its wrapped in Electrical Tape to make it less noticable in pics and during games*

Do you have a better understanding of what I mean now? The wiring from the GB to the Mosfet is not long enough to feed it into the tube. SO either im going to have to A. Fit it into the UBR B. Extend the wiring to the MOSFET (No experience in wiring whatsoever) C. Wire to the front and use a AN/PEQ-15. A is preferable but C I think would be best since instead due to the PEQ 15 I was going to buy wether or not I can fit it into the back.

wiring to the front is always a big issue when you do maintenance on your gun, breaking it down. figure out how long your wire has to be when you slip off your upper receiver while having the wire inside the gun.

I say to keep it in the rear, extend your rear wires.

What do you mean by "standard battery"? It will fit a 9.6v Nun-chuck (like 2000mAh I believe), and I think it might fit a small type battery. Not entirely sure on that, but they are designed to fit a nunchuck battery.

If it fits a nunchuck, it'll fit a mini as well.

Vainguard, I wouldn't call that the "first Magpul'd 416," it's not exactly a groundbreaking idea. I'd also just add more wiring to your MOSFET, it shouldn't be too difficult.

+1 for 416 and P226. Is the P226 trademarks whited in? And they really needed to make the 416 stock as sexy as the 416 itself a-gross.gif

Here's what left of a 416.

EDIT: A little different

I whole heartedly agree! The only reason I got this is because I didn't want a PEQ box on it, and didn't have the money for a VFC. I'm most likely going to complete this gun with a 416 full stock and a metal reciever.

The DBoys one has full trademarks and its 55 bucks, or you can hunt down a HurricanE...

That made me think: what if someone used marijuana leaves to paint their gun?

Well I do live in SoCal, it's not particularly difficult to get stuff like that...

But I have a stack of projects already. It'll be like 2015 at least before I even thought about something like that.

Nothing special. The rail unit is something you either love or hate. The stock and receiver are not original and the gearbox is mostly stock. The pic was taken with a cell phone in my bedroom so you'll have to forgive the quality and lighting.
