Painting Guides Here.

Post a picture of the gun, and give some basic info about it. (Brand name, type, etc)
If possible, give a rough overview of how you did the paintjob. What kind of paint you used, etc.

Junk springer I bought for plinking. I painted it black, wrapped it with a few pieces of thick string, then used tan krylon.

KJW M9. More of a test than anything else. I took off the slide and barrel, then painted it with OD Krylon.

Jls Fn2000
I didn't like the ugly tan color, so I painted it flat black.

Echo1 M733
This one was a pain. I kept smearing the paint, and I messed up the forward assist by getting paint in it. But hey, it was the first time I'd painted anything.

Cm028. The pic doesn't do it justice, this one came out very well.

TM M14
A temporary job done this morning. I added a jiggy stencil to the stock. No worries, it'll be gone by the time the next game rolls around.

this is a cheapo crosman that I put a lot into because I had to have a clear one by parents rules. they finally came around and said I had to have a slightly more visible orange tip. I have put a metal gear box, m100 and a large type battery. this is my first camo paint job. tell me how I did in a pm.

I used krylon ultra flat special purpose camouflage paint. I had a base coat of desert tan with od, black and brown patterns. I applied the base coat, made stencils while I waited for it to dry and me and my friend had fun. we tried not to over due it, keep the lines blurry and go over the edges to help blur out the guns line. this camo was made for california so mostly tan but bits of dark brown and green.

heres another thing I painted:

Much thanks to Stab for his awesome stencils. I think he's about to start selling these and some digital camo stencils. These are called SnakeSkinz V1. I'll also have pics up of a digi-cammed rifle fairly soon.

I chose not to add any of the brown diamonds to the paint job. I think that was a good decision. This stuff was a pain in the butt to use on a pistol, since it's so small. But the grips were easy. I'll probably get some more so I can do my M14!

This was done with several strips of the Snake Skin stencil, and some Krylon OD and Matte Black.

I especially like the way the grips turned out.

Nothing special... Brown paintjob on my JG m16a2, and painted the bolt cover thing... I ran out of sand paper

Now here is something a little bit more special
Hfc Colt.25 Nbb (got for free from jungletoy over a year ago)

Yes I Highlighted the Made In Taiwan... Its just funnier that way :D

Possibly the coolest paintjob ever to grace a Colt .25...... Lol
Yay for mediocre paintjobs!

He sent me a sheet of the first run for free, so I could test how well they would work. I'm not sure how much he'll charge for them. I'm going to send him a link to the thread I posted specifically about this pistol. If he wants to, he can list prices and stuff.

Mine? no its a Gas non blowback
Holds 7 rounds, and its really gas efficient, and suprisingly accurate with .20s
It can even handle red gas
Coolest thing I ever got for free
Not to mention it was my first gas pistol, and Ive had it for about a year and a half, with no jams, malfunctions or anything. Just hard to load cause the mag is so stupid

I had one of those. It worked well, but they tend to develop leaks when using green gas. I know several people that have said that.

Hmm, well ive noticed that the amount of gas it can carry has decreased, so maybe it is leaking a little
but it can still hold enough of a charge to finish off a mag or two

3 different colors. Base coat of saddle tan, then dusted with medium brown, went back over it with saddle tan again, and then lightly dusted camouflage khaki onto it. I liked how it turned out, hope you all enjoyed as well. All colors are krylon. Regular interior/exterior paint unless specified camouflage.

This rifle that is spray-painted mainly tan is a UTGM324 with an upgraded bolt shots 450 fps with .30g bbs. I laid down my base coat which was tan and then got some branches like some ferns and leaves and did what mark walburg did on shooter it came out rather nice but it took a while to get used to its. I’ts not like ohh that’s easy. It gets easy after the fact. The Green and tan rifle is an Acushot Competition sniper rifle and I did the same thing as up top except the green was my base. The scope that I got for my utg I bought off of shortyusa.com for like $50 and its really nice and comes with the sunshade to cut back on the glare.

lol why thank you! a-blushing.gif

yea I did the paint job with a stencil made out of cardboard. However, the paint is starting to chip so I am thinking about re-doing it.

...and since this is a PICTURE thread, I better post a picture.

here is my newly painted classic army m15a4 tactical carbine. I got tired of the old all black thing. and I have od gear. so I went with od parts. I painted over everything non metal except the mags. I.e. the stock, grip, hand guard and mags. I layered to light but even coats of olive drab krylon ultra flat paint. and then 2 coats of krylon matte clear protective finish. this gave it the ever so slight glaze that fiber glass and plastic has. it made it look better then just the flat od and will make it last longer as well. 2 coats of each is all you need.

I was trying to increase the resale value of this Crosman Pulse R70 (m4 model) so I sold the vertical foregrip & painted the gun camo . now I don't want to part with it a-embarassed.gif

the way I painted this is I actually used a rather bright green, not neon, but something brighter than OD as a basecoat. I then put on OD, then brown, and put blotched of khaki here and there. I tried a khaki basecoat on my other gun, and it didnt turn out well at all.

This is not mine, it belongs to my friend, we painted it and it came out pretty sick IMO. Tokyo Marui M733 Colt Commando.

This is my D-boy M16 SPD 0. The paint used is Sand with Transparent brown. I highly discourge the use of the transparent brown. Im not that paint swava (SP) and I thought this would work. It doesnt since its a semi-glossy paint. Anywho here are before, during, and after pics.

This is its orgainal color, just like every other gun sold.

Here it is in the middle of production.

And its final stage.

Any input would help out. Also im MIGHT sand it down and redo it with the right paint. This was only a "test" phase for me.

Here's my Echo 1 M4A1 compared to a non-painted A&K M4 S-System...

I used Krylon Tan, OD, Flat Earth/Brown and also two different templates. One template was 3 simple sliced shaped cuts made in a sheet of paper and then everything else was done with a pine branch with pine needles. I now need to seal the paint on with some clear, but I fear it's still going to get scratched off pretty easily.

First, the gun non painted (Echo 1)

Hidden M4

...and the other side...

A comparison shot...

One last M4 painted shot

wow. nice paint job. it really breaks up the lines and blends in, even to the woodland cloth in the back ground.
