While strategy and planning are usually the most imporant factors to winning an airsoft war, another that sometimes goes unconsidered is stealth. Surprising your enemy and coming up on his flank double your effective attack.
1. movement I always try to move when in woodland areas by stepping with my heel first then rolling on to the rest of my foot. You can also step with the ball of your foot then slowly step the rest of your foot down, but I usually use this method when on rocks or any hard flooring. You should also take small steps. I take one step with my left foot, then step with my right so that it is 2. Stance When moving or almost any other position, I try to stay low in a sort of half-crouch, unless I am not moving, in which case I go into a full crouch. hold your gun out in front of you with your arms extended. Take small steps to try to keep your feet about shoulder-width apart, and try not to move one foot too far out in front of the other one. This will make it harder and slower to move to your left (if your left foot is extended too far) when engaged. 3. Camo Camo is essential for any airsoft war. if there is a woodland enviroment, I usually bring all woodland camo even if there is a building to be used. black works well at night ops, but I bring a boonie hat to almost every war I go to, and attatch branches/ferns to it if in an entirely woodland enviroment. if you are sticking your head around a corner in a building with a bunch of ferns attatched to your head, all you will be seeing is 50 bb's shot in a couple of seconds. It's common sence, but some people I know still forget to take them off. Also, do not forget to hide your fern /brances once you have removed them, or a wandering enemy might find them and become more alert when entering the building. -------------------- ![]() Sig made by the terminator. Nice post it was a little short but thats ok. This is why its called 'A short guide to Stealth'. Trust me if you can master the basics then you can be set. I have played many Manhunt games without camo and had people walk right past me. (its from the camo section). wearing black at night ops is probly the best way to get yourself killed, espacialy if your outside. wearing camo works INCREDIBLY well at night. the reason is that your openents are looking for a human shaped shadow. wearing black pretty much siluotes yourself no matter how much light there is. Besides that I thought it was a pretty good guide. -------------------- QUOTE if there was no war, there wouldn't be any guns, if there were no guns, the zombies would pwn us Airsoft: Just another way to shoot you friends Glasses ON! -If you think its possible for someone to be anti-war and still be pro-airsoft without being a hypocrite, put this in your sig |

Basically at night, your camo will change color along with the bushes because of the lack of light. Unless you have alot of all black stuff around you, black camo is a bad idea. So basically ditto to what everyone above me said.
