Heee
The Mantis is just a Tanaka with custom made frame/stock and lots of internal upgrades. lol

Uses real steel/GBB grip and AEG stock.

It's just FREAKING AWESOME.

Especially when I didn't even pay $1000 for it :P

Also bought a new stock last night, couldn't stand the LE stock.....

Top shelf rifle

Tanaka/kJW M40 A5.I got tired of the chinese or someone else building a DMR or SWS that I owned. So I decided to make something no one could copy. Rare is an understatement. IE that is a real stock not something shaped wood or fortress stock. Its a real M700 bdl short action stock. Performance wise its a tac driver. Ive gotten confirmed kills at 175' on a bad day. This is without hpa. The Suppressor, eliminates any escaping gas. The only noise is the click from pulling the trigger and a very light poof. The barrel and suppressor are next to impossible to find. Unless someone knows somebody at McMillian or haqs $500-2000 its going to be awhile before this gets copied by the Chinese or anyone else :) Even if they do, Im building a McMillian Tac .338 based of the Well G96.

Upgrades:
Madbull 6.01 tb
madbull hop conversion kit
PCS bolt
G&P SR25 suppressor
M3 scope

Sold off my L96, only to decide I missed it and picked up an upgraded one when I found a good deal. I have been short on time and haven't been able to get some quality pictures. I'll post those up when I get some. I did have a chance to set the gun outside, and the current paint job does actually work pretty well.

CQB snipers are fun :D

Everyone always under estimate you when then see you getting ready. But if you are able to have a good shooting lane, you can hold everyone down.

Very nice al

Thanks! Actually, I ended up buying another used AGM L96 just to combine parts together. Expensive "fix"...

Thanks! A lot of people at my local CQB arena look at my gun and think "WTF why would you use that here?" I've been using this for about a month, and it really goes to show that you don't more than one shot to take out someone if you know how to properly work on aim and cover. These have been shortened and downgraded to help maneuvering, meet field limits, and use tracer units. They're similar in length to the M3 tri-shot with short barrel and fixed stock, not at all oversized for CQB in my opinion.

I think it's a good testament to your individual skill. I'm using a fairly long, bolt-action, single-shot, spring-powered (heavier pull than gas) gun. I actually don't use those optics in the picture, because I'm faster at..."no-scoping" than taking two seconds to look through an optic with a mask on.

I know, using a tracer unit seems a cheat, but honestly it is more for the enemy players to know they've been hit by me.

I have had a few of those in the past....... and I am again building another one out of a kc-02 ;)

To me using a sniper rifle in a CQB area is like running around out in the field with only a pistol.

Tanaka/kJW M40 A5.

I got one too. :)

Although its not a production stock. Hand-made. That, and I was going for the A3 look instead of the A5.

Looks wise, last thing I want to do is to add a knobby bolt handle.

Great looking A5 though. Very unique.

I am new to airsoft and not very serious about it but I do love firearms in general. Not really into the whole skirmishing thing but I do share the enthusiasm that is shared on this forum concerning guns!

I just got this a few days ago, my Mauser SR. It's not really upgraded internally because I'm not really that experienced yet and I go to college in New York and since BB guns are illegal in Manhattan, I just keep the rifle in my girlfriends home in Oregon.

I named her Renée.
