There is no such thing as a Stormtrooper BDU. BDU stands for Battle Dress Uniform. It applies only to a certain camouflage pattern in a certain cut.

You should just go WWII german Sturmtruppen. Much cooler that stupid Star War strom troopers. Not to knock Star Wars, but imperial storm troopers suck the big one. No accuracy, organization, tactics, or martial spirit. They wear armour that, as far as I can tell, only kills the soldier wearing them faster. Comon, a pistol shot in the shoulder knocks out a geneticaly engineered armoured shock trooper? Hardly.
Real german storm troopers took out the most powerful Dutch superfortresses in a few hours after the invasion. They were dropped literaly right on top of the fortresses, which were often covered form all approaches and from on top by multiple machine guns. Sturmtroopen=pwnage. -------------------- |

I used to be into the costuming thing at Sci-fi conventions when I was in high school, and having a stormtrooper set of armor was something people just didn't have. Nowdays, I'm told there's at least a dozen of them running around every con you go to: Group for people who like to dress like Star Wars forces I haven't been to one in at least 15 years, though... I know a guy who built one of these outfits from an ebay auction. He was so freaking happy when he got it together, just like the sandtrooper outfit. We drove across the mountains to the nearest desert, and he put it on to walk in it for the pics (he'd only just test fit it at home before then). Im about 10 minutes, he was pulling plates off, saying he was changing back into normal clothes. He never wore it more than 15 minutes total, after plunking down thousands into it! He said it was ill-fitting, and now he knew why the extras wearing these in the films looked moved like bad robots. Sure, it looks good, but everyone I've talked to who's worn one say that's all they're good for... -------------------- Done with airsoft.

Sturmtroopen=pwnage. sorry man...those were Fallschirmjagers....storm troopers was a generic term for the SA Brownshirts during the '30s that was applied to alot of german troops in the press during the war.originally the Sturmtruppen were heavy infantry/shock troops trained to punch holes in the allies trench lines during WW1. http://www.worldwar1.com/arm011.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormtrooper on a different note some folks down here have been throwing around the idea of a "Star Wars" themed game... -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
