Hey I just found that exact piece and where exactly does it go? I have the exact same problem. I just finished it up this morning and its full auto on both. it slides in right next to/in front of the other lever that pushes the safety lever down. Just have the little cutout notch under the little lever that sticks out of the gearbox so that it lines up. |

the long arm of it should point towards the back of the gun and the fat side should sit right near the trigger spring.
Good Work Govtcheez It sounds like the trigger response is still awesome even with that pdi spring in there. What battery did you use(brand)? This post has been edited by Paisley Pirate: Sep 14 2008, 03:55 PM -------------------- |

I was thinking about going with the 25C, but thought this one would put less strain on the internals. |

I just put the nineball metal bushings in since I figured it would help with durability better while using the lipo. At first I was worried about the tiny gearbox but that was the easiest gearbox takedown I've ever done! |

I have heard that the Well R2 Skorpion is actually durable.. which is surprising since its a gun made from well...
Think the tear down would be the same? |

As promised....with inspiration from GoLgo13...a TM USP with AB MOSFET and 900 mah 25C lipo
Sorry for the poor quality...all I had to do the pics and vid with was my Blackberry Curve. Here are pics of the gun from different angles. There is a link to a video of it in action is at the end. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can't really see it in this picture, but the metal strips on the inside of the slide had to be removed. ![]() ![]() This is a view of the Tenergy lipo. I had to cut open the original heat shrink and split the two individule cells apart so that they would straddle the barrel. Needless to say, this is the most dangerous part of the mod as Lipo batteries should be handled with extreme caution. ![]() Here is another view of the lipo split in to halves. I recovered each half with new heat shrink. ![]() Its difficult to see, but yes, that is the AB MOSFET crammed in there. You do have to remove the battery eject mechanism and the metal arm it mounts to. ![]() ![]() The Dean's mini connector. Bend the connector pins that you solder the wires to prior to soldering the wires on. Otherwise, the width of the connector is too much. ![]() VIDEO_TM_USP_Lipo_ABMOSFET Hope you enjoy! Thanks again to GoLgo13 for the inspiration! -jasonb This post has been edited by Jason_B: Dec 10 2008, 07:36 AM -------------------- "A man that flies from his fear may find that he has only taken a shortcut to meet it."

***Stands up and applauds***
Now I have no excuses... My M93R's will hopefully be done before the end of winter. I have the complete Guarder upgrade kit installed, LiPo is going to put me over the bar. I think I'll write "GBB KILLER" on the slide. I guess I don't need this silly battery lanyard anymore... I never even installed it. -------------------- Rob O Cop - Sacramento, CA

jason b loveing the usp handy work you should make it into a separate post or thread since its the first usp with lipo ive seen finished
any chance of closer pics on the battery ? is it two thin flat batterys ? from the vid it definatly seems faster.. my aeps shooting around 250 - 270 fps with the usual upgrades but its definalty slower on the trigger response becuase of the upgrades ill have to order one of these batterys from the states and a charger as well so its gunna be costly but I think worth it in the long run This post has been edited by Richard y: Jan 2 2009, 02:11 PM |

It was quite a task and not for the squeamish as I had to 'remove' a few unneeded pieces of the gun. The battery is a 2S 7.4v 900mAh 25C Tenergy lipo this one to be exact. I just separated the two cells by removing the original heat shrink and prying them apart using a credit card. After separating them, I then recovered each cell with its own heat shrink then arranged them in a sort of V shape straddling the barrel. One thing to note is that the barrel has to be removed to install and/or remove the battery. It's no problem however as I just charge and balance the battery while it is in the gun. If I get a chance, I'll try and put together something more detailed to post. -------------------- "A man that flies from his fear may find that he has only taken a shortcut to meet it."

yeah any pics will be cool I might rewire it from the gear box to the front so I don't have to mess with the little metal plates so potentially in future I might be able to convert it back daubt I would but you never know
shipping from that site you linked to is 70 dollars !! lol crazy you cant believe they get away with charging so much. might try amazon and see if they have better rates there are lipos over here but I wont know for sure if they will fit like this one have you thought about any ways of getting some extra power out of it ? did you notice any power increase with the new battery ? I know it sounds strange but some times with low battery powers you can get a lot more inconsitency in power levels I was hoping with the better power to try and push the internals a bit further and see how far they will go. if only I could increase the cylinder size would be the easyiest way to more power I thought about fitting a spacer over the spring guide and try and get a bit of extra power that way but il definatly need the new bat before trying it to turn it over |

I didnt see anywhere in your guide if you had put any overdischarge protection on these LiPo packs. Arent you worried that you might ruin the pack if you overdischarge the cells in the heat of battle?

Jason B;
I need more info brutha. I have the exact same Tenergy LiPo (7.4v 25C 900mAh).... I am ready to throw this AEP in the garbage and rip out all my hair!!! Apparently the TM M93R doesn't have as much room as the USP inside... Looks like more plastic needs to be removed. I barely got the battery to squeeze inside the gun... once! and I still have put the mosfet on there! Do you have the ability to get a higher res pic of your work? -------------------- Rob O Cop - Sacramento, CA

I feel sorry for your S&H fee's I bought my battery from an R/C store here in town, and it only cost me $20. Any electrician should be able to build you one. hi guys just thought I would report back in from the uk and let you know how my usp aep with lipo wen on heres a couple of vids and pics
works a treat now its done, had some trouble with pack damage when I split the packs but ive repaired it with a lot of soldier and ive not been able to source the mosfet bits so this is without fet but as you can see its does a good job with out, plus theres no damn room! fair play to jason for squeezing that fet in there I just don't think it will fit with the micro deans in the way vid 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtyDGvgw0p8 vid 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da6Vvj7Kx3U ![]()

My only question with this write up is that I own a TM MP7A1 and plan on wiring in a AB MOSFET, but I want to retain the stock battery connector, all that much more difficult or just not soldering in an extra length of wire?

<<<<<Excerpt from my original thread>>>>>
Special thanks goes out to GoLgo13 and Jason B for being the ground breakers on this project. I'm not a huge AEP/AEG buff and my skills with electronics don't compare to most people half my age. But as I have always said... "I have a demmel and an imagination, I can make it happen!" This is my Tokyo Marui M93R AEP. As you can see it has some slight cosmetic alterations. ![]() After having multiple LONG conversations with people about the use of MOSFET's and DEANs. I came to the conclusion that there would be negligible performance difference in my pistol if I went with these options. It was brought to my attention that the battery's performance would bridge the gap of lesser wiring. So I came up with a newer, and EXTREMELY more simple plan. The best part of it all was that it took me only about 20 mins to perform the whole mod!!!! Step 1: The first step was to strip down and dissect the stock 7.2v NiCd battery that came with the gun. I, like many of you, had a few of these worthless things just laying around. After removing the wrapper, the connector to the battery was removed. This was pretty simple as it has a very light solder holding it together. A twist of a flat-head screwdriver, between the connectors, was all that was required. As you can see I no longer needed the 6-cell 7.2v, and it was recycled properly. Step 2: The connector from the stock battery required some cleaning up. There were two tabs that didn't look important so they were quickly dremmeled off. That left the connector with a flat open surface. Next the Pos and Neg leads from the battery were soldered to the points on the back of the connector. The arrow points to the POS connection! Step 3: This is where it gets easy... I just slid the connector in the same place the battery would normally go. As you can see I went in from the other side. It'll make more sense on the next picture. Step 4: I wrapped the battery wire around the barrel (I removed the black barrel sleeve to conserve every bit of space possible). I tucked the battery into the stock battery slot. There isn't enough room for me to stuff all the wire in from that side, hence the reason for having to wrap the wire and insert the connector from the other side. Step 5: I found that the slide was too small/tight on the inside. I could force the slide closed, but it would bow out and look warped from the side. Rather than cause additional stress to the gun, I again used the dremmel to grind away the inside of the slide that touches the battery. I was careful to only grind the inside, and to leave a small lip, so that there would not be any evidence from the outside of the gun. Performance: OH MY GAWD!!!! This is now the sexiest pistol on the market. The battery I used was the Tenergy 7.4v LiPo 900mAh 25C. I don't know what else to say... Almost instant trigger response, with no over cycle. The semi auto cycles faster than I can pull the trigger. The full auto feature is screaming fast. I'm betting that I can unload a full (standard) mag in just over a second. This mod was WAY too easy to pass up. I'm tempted to do this again to another battery, but with 900mAh LiPo I'm not sure I'll ever use a second battery. -------------------- Rob O Cop - Sacramento, CA
