I made this tutorial for my site, but thought it would help on this forum. This tutorial instructs how to take out the gearbox out of the Tokyo Marui Ak-47, for upgrading. It does not include instructions for how to open the gearbox of upgrade it.
You don’t need many tools for this: Philips Screwdriver Flathead Screwdriver Working Tweezers Fine-point Philips Screwdriver 1. Lets begin; personally I like to take off the stock and pistol grip of the gun. I think they get in the way when I’m working with the gun. To take off the pistol grip just unscrew the screw under in pistol grip and slide it off. For the stock, there are 2 screws in the underside, and 1 screw on top. When taking off the stock make sure you unplug the mini plug when you pull it off (you’ll know what I mean when you start pulling the two parts apart.) when you are done with that it should look like this; ![]() 2. The next step is to take off the top cover of the gun. First take off the dust cover, and where you push the button to pop it open, we want to take out the metal rod connected to the button. Use the Flat head screwdriver. Just stick it in there and then pry out the rod ![]() 3. Next we want to detach the hop-up lever from the top cover. We want to use our fine point Philips screwdriver to remove it. Keep the tweezers handy to pull out the level so it doesn't get lost. ![]() ![]() 4. And the last step in removing the top cover is to unscrew the tiny screw on the left side of the top cover. Use the small fine point Philips screw driver. ![]() 5. Now we slide off the cover, and it should look like this. ![]() 6. At this point we want to take off the firing selector switch. First use the fine point flat head screwdriver to pry of the little screw cover (picture one). Now take the large Philips screwdriver and use it to unscrew the large screw holding the cover on (picture 2). Then you should you be able to take of the selector switch (picture 3) 1. 2. 3. ![]() 7. Now we want to turn the gun over and unscrew the 4 screws. Two of then are where the clip goes and two a little above that. Use the large Philips screwdriver to take them apart. When doing this makes sure you are supporting both parts of the gun, because you don’t want it to fall apart on you ![]() 8. Here's the tricky part. Now we want to pull apart the two sides of the gun. Do this very carefully; you don’t want to ruin the hop-up. Don’t put to much pressure, and if something feels stuck don’t put force into it. ![]() ![]() 9. Remember when we removed the stock, now we want to take out the screws on that part. There are two on each side. When you take out the screws, that metal part slides out the top. Slide it out. If the mini plug gets stuck just loosen it up. ![]() 10. Finally we are ready to take out the meck box, slowly we want to work it out of there, making sure that the wires aren’t getting caught on anything. ![]() ![]() ©2005 Aleksey Pavlov Hope this helped, I can tidy it up a bit if needed. I'm hopeing for a yes, but will this work for my CYMA CM028? This breakdown guide is good for the CSI AK Assailant (rebranded JG SVD AK) also, which happens to be manufactured by CYMA. If I were a betting man I would guess there will be a lot of similiarity between the TM AK47 and the CYMA 028. http://www.airsoftspecialists.com/articles...I_assailant.htm You can compare the CSI breakdown here with the TM -------------------- "but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. Too Late now. I used this guide to take apart my CM.028 and do the TM parts swap out. hi, Ive been looking around for a good disassembly guide for my AK and the one thing I havent been able to find is how to take off the forgrips. could anyone tell me how or point me in the direction of a guide that could do so? If you want to remove the forgrips, then you will have to take them one at a time. For the top foregrip, you have to remover the screw at the top on the top left side of the reciever right next to whre the grip is. You'll see the grip. For the lower one, you must remove the screw that is under the barrel and comes from the gas reciever. Once you remove this screw, you slide the gas reciever thingy forward and take the lower forgrip off. Sorry if it's unclear, I wish I could get pics, I'll try to get some up. -------------------- ![]() CIRAS review|SocomGear M9A1 Review|KWA M93R Review|Snicker Claymore review Oakley Replica Assault glove review DO ME NEXT VIETEC DO ME NEXT. ^GIGITY GOO. |

its about the same for ics to, so not just for tm aks No, definitly not ! The ICS Gearbox is accessable by only removing 6 Screws ! 2 at the Stock 2 at the Body 1 at the Pistol Grip 1 at the Selector Switch Thats all, you don't have to remove the HU Selector and the Upper Receiver is completely different. |
