Recently Ive been getting mixed messages about the Tornado Grenade. Some people say it sucks and it takes a really long time to go off, some say it's great. I also heard that you should wait 6 to 8 mins after arming (arming as in loading with gas) to have it go off on time. Does anyone know exactly whats up with it?

The timing on the grenade is however you set it. I had a friend load it with gas, and test it on us within 2 minutes with perfect timing. It isn't very good for outdoor, but it is great for cqb

I use mine for cqb and its great, timing is great and we only have 5min between games so I have never had a problem with the waiting-a lot of guys at my cqb have one and I have never even heard that you should wait 6-8 min. it works for how you time it, I think top one for 2 sec, bottom one for 5, both are pretty consistent

Compared to what is available on the market, Tornado Grenades are probably the best grenades out there. However, they are only good for CQB as are most airsoft grenades. As for the timer, it can go really quickly or really slowly depending on how lubricated the timing mechanism is. If there is a lot of silicon on it then it may go off in as little as 2 seconds.

It's good for CQB, but not for a woodland environment. I'm still waiting for Madbull's new grenade to come out.

Just like everything else in airsoft, if you take good care of your tornado grenades, you will not be disapointed. They will work every time if properly maintained. I own two and have yet to be disapointed.
