I went to D!cks to buy a camelbak yesterday and in the lodge there was a crosman AK OUT OF THE BOX WITH THE BATTERY CHARGED LAYING ON THE GROUND AND TWO SIX YEAR OLDS WERE FIRING IT. Their parents were also buying their kids spring pistols. I told them all briefly to never go in the street or in public view with them and that they should always wear eye protection. Did I do good?

I think you did very good. A lot of parents underestimate the damage any type of projectile, be it airsoft or paintball, can do to people. A lot of parents fall in to the "I want it!" speech from their kids and never look back. I say kudos to you and keep up the good work! --------------------  |

You did do good, Although If I were you I would have probably grabbed it from the kids, taken out the battery, and handed to one of the parents and informed them that they should never be aloud to handle these without eye protection let alone at that age. I would have also informed the parents about the don't play in public view rule.

I would have flamed their parents for letting them get such a piece of crap, without teaching them an important life lesson about researching before purchasing.

I didn't know you were allowed to shoot stuff inside D!cks. Besides, the parents were to blame, not the little kids.

I'm sorry to be off topic, but my first "AEG" was a Crossman AK.
What a piece of crap!!!! Hearing about it again makes me cringe, I just remember it being weak, light, flimsy and did not even look good. On topic, I think you did good, very good. |
