Ok, so I'm going to start with a jg bar 10, and upgrade from there, this will be my first project. I initially decided on all the parts and was going to get an m170 spring, but then I thought, maybe I could even get an m190, though I thought the stock trigger wouldn't hold up with it. Therefore my question is would an m190 spring along with this trigger-piston combo workout ok? Also is the difference between an m190 and m170 that noticeable and worth the upgrade.

An M190 would put you in excess of 630fps, I don't know where you play at but make sure that's within the limits, here in Texas the limit is 550fps for BASR's or lower at some places. Also, if you don't get a decent hop up in there, you'd be better off blowing a BB out of a straw.

Just get the m170 spring. It will keep you legal for just about every field, your gun won't wear down as fast, and 550+ fps will be plenty for a sniper.

Ok, so did some more research and I've been told that the ASGI parts are not trustworthy. So here is a list of parts I want to put in my JG Bar-10, how do you think it will perform, and will the laylax parts work with the PDI? I also list two zero triggers, one is much cheaper, is there that much of difference in quality of the piston included or is it just cheaper because of the site?
Zero Trigger 1: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_VSR_1...0a.htm?CartID=1 Zero Trigger 2: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3256 PDI Hop-up chamber: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/PDI_VSR_10_H...00.htm?CartID=2 PDI Barrel: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/RAVEN_PDI_VS...12.htm?CartID=3 PDI Spring Guide: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/PDI_VSR_10_S...32.htm?CartID=4 Laylax m190 spring: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_VSR_1...63.htm?CartID=5 (I know 190 will shoot very hot, and too hot for many fields, but I still want it) Firefly Hop-up bucking: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Firefly_Hop_...20.htm?CartID=6 So yeah, there you have it, just wondering some opinions on those parts as an upgrade, thanks. |

I have a fully upp'd VSR-10 with full pdi and a zero trigger, and it shoots beautifully. Depending on the diameter of the spring guide, you'll likely need to go with a pdi spring as well. If you go with the PDI hopup chamber, it comes with a w-hold bucking, which imo, is superior to the firefly bucking. You'll also want a new piston, as the stock one will get destroyed immediately, and a barrel. I bought the aeg version of the pdi hopup chamber, so I ended up using a prometheus barrel. For VSR cut, you'll probably want an EDGI barrel, and avoid PDI raven barrels at all cost (although their "premium" barrels are still okay). You'll end up needing a new cylinder as well, as you're probably going to turn your cylinderhead into a projectile within the first few shots. Well, decided to propose this idea, maybe get some feedback on going full laylax. so here goes nothin
http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3256 Zero Trigger w/ Piston http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3178 Teflon Cylinder http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3059 Spring Guide http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=1398 M190 Spring (yes, I know it will be shooting unnecessarily hot) http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3200 430 mm Inner Barrel http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3057 Damper Cylinder Head Well, how do you think that would all work out? Also I take it I should be getting an upgraded hop-up bucking so if someone could possibly suggest a specific one, that would be awesome and a ton of help. Thanks all. |

I run a similar build, and I have a few recommendations for you.
Hop up arm: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=10248 Excellent hop up arm. People say you might have to shim the hop up unit for the arm to fit snug, but mine fit pretty nice Bucking: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Airsoft_Nine...apa_p/58345.htm With those 2 combined and bioval 0.3 bbs, I have easily attained 200 ft shots. Remember to use quality heavy weight ammo. I know that it says the type B arm is for V type hop up rubbers, but I find that they work well with normal nubs. I also don't like the stock vsr two arm types. Barrel Spacers: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3635 Barrel spacers help with accuracy and reduce vibrations in the barrel. Otherwise, your upgrades look good. Just remember to not mix PDI and Laylax parts. This post has been edited by bladeofdeath3: Apr 15 2012, 11:31 PM |

Thanks for that response, I know you said don't mix laylax and pdi, but what other barrels could go in there because I thought about putting a 6.01 in it? Would it be worth it.

Thanks for that response, I know you said don't mix laylax and pdi, but what other barrels could go in there because I thought about putting a 6.01 in it? Would it be worth it. I used to run a DeeBee Custom 6.01 steel tight bore in my TM VSR-10 Pro Sniper before he even came to market with the barrels. It was nice, but the increase in accuracy over a 6.03mm barrel IMO wasn't significant enough to be a game changer. Barrels may have improved dramatically in the 8 years since then though. -------------------- |
