I'm most definately a sniper. long range, 1S,1K.

Halfway between squad support and assault

Assualt all the way.

Squad Leader, when I get my AUG I will also be a Sharpshooter.

Generally I'm a Squad Leader because I am a very tactical person and I analize situations and apply modern tactics to the battlefield.

I personally Love Misdirection.

Also, my team and I use Radio's with special headsets so we can communicate openly and covertly.


one time I had one of my guys go prone and crawl around to the right flank of an enemy base, popping up and down firing 3 round bursts into there base. now note, I was on the other side with another guy and we had two more in front of them so the guy who was firing 3 round busts was on the right by himself, I was on the left with another guy, and 2 more were in the middle so we had a 3 way flank, however, the rest of us were prone while he was shooting, then after he got there attention enough he went prone while they fired and radio'd the rest of us and we popped up into a croutch and fired at the enemy while they were firing at him.

It worked great cause they opfor had a 2 level base, 1 of the guys was on top with what looked like a KJW M700, and the guys on bottom had what looked like a TM AK47, Either way, they had one guy with a scope, the guy with the M700 but we got them soo good. we called out are targets before we fired, we radio'd " I got the guy on top" and whatnot...perfect execution.

Wow, lots of diversity! I love being a sniper, because having your men picked off unnoticeably from an unseen man is very demoralizing.

But I'm gonna try running into a base using the VSR-10 Pro's ironsights and shoot like mad.

Usually assault, sometimes sniper (when necessary).

I am usually squad leader when we play, because I've memorized the most about flanking the enemy and proper cover and such. Other than that, I play as assault, but am saving up for a M16 or a good weapon to stuff a scope on.

Seriously though, I'm mostly an assault player, and am usually the either the pointman or his direct backup. Guarantees you to see some action, and makes for some cool team actions.

Somewhere between Spotter, Squad Leader, and Counter-Sniper.

I lay a lot of the pre-engagement tactics, and take out the longer range threats.

I'm assault. But I have a few questions.

Whats the difference between Recon and Assault?
I usually prefer a small 3 man group (me being one of them), but if the situation calls I will allow a 6 man. I don't like large amounts of people; a lot easier to get around and communicate and get things done.

EDIT: Oh and you forgot support. In my three man assault group, I usually prefer one support man.

Assault usually bursts in, gun blazing, and all that.

Recon ofter goes ahead, asseses the danger, reports back, and then leads off an assault.

Squad Leader/Team Leader. Didn't really want it, but everyone else looked to me and sorta gave it to me by proxy since I started the team. My orignal intent was to have 2 or 3 spokespersons and no real leader, but as I said, everyone else thought differntly.

fire team leader / sharpshooter. I use the TM M16A2 upgraded to 400 fps so is pretty adaptable. Sort of elected but I still enjoy having power over a team.

I prefer assault... I'll be sneaky when it requires sneakiness, but I'd gladly go berserk anytime.

My current billet is the CO's aide. Which means I'm his radioman, advisor, bodyguard and personal attack dog. I also fill in if someone gets taken out- meaning I have to be decent at pretty much everything except sniping.

well right now im assualt ish but soon I will be grenadier or the support gunners helper guy.

but im always a leader so I dunno

I like assault and CQB. Those are the best IMO. Seriously, who doesn't like running at the other team while getting shot at?

when I am with my current group, I am a squad leader.

but when we had this one guy, now at military school (gonna be an officer in the Corps), he was the leader and I was pretty much an assualt dude.

I'm what I like to call a Tatical Sharpshooter. I have a modular weapon that I can sit back with and take some long shots. Or I can flick on my Aimpoint and take down some bunkers, it's all depending on what I feel like or what my Team leader tells me. Or I'll be a sniper if I'm using my Type 96.

I suppose I'm a designated marksman/sharpshooter.

This is a tough one. I just said assault because my games often end up just as that. but with the small number of people I play with we all try to be very stealthy and not be heard or seen, so that kind of falls under the recon field. and dependant on the game and who is playing the role of squad/team leader is played by just about everyone.

im my teams Special Operaions Comander and also my teams Weapons Specialist. You need it Found, Escorted, or Killed you call us. Our next target for out next game is the oposing team leader.... I will be working with a counter sniper to pick him off.... Hopefully I will be using a G&G Socom 16 to compete agenst his CA M15A4 Tactical carbine

Us recon guys are reconning the poll before making our presence known. Gathering intel, you see.

Recon for me. I like observation and collection information for my team. Makes us that much better informed, and therefore effective. Plus, since I'm there first, I get to spearhead the first strike!

I LOVE playin as VIP but Im mostly assault. But there is nothin like savin the game by gettin a pistol kill during a defend the VIP (USFOR defending the Pres basically). Or, during a hostage VIP game, nothin better than pullin out the ocncealed pistol while the terrorists aint lookin and gettin one or two.

VIP is an awesome role. I love it.

Well, all our games are CQB, but I am like, the squad commander....the other guys don't have any brains for combat tactics. But I also send my team off to distract the other team, or try to, while I flank them, so I am stealth too.

ok.. I guess one can say Im assualt. However, I tend to take on a leadership role when it comes to troop advancement and placement to get the objective done. I guess im a 2-1 combo!

Well I just got moved up to spotter for the new team SAW gunner. But really on my team every one is trained to fit any role just in-case some one gets shot up. So I can run assult, recon, rear guard, point man, leader, and due to the long range of my 33 I'm also the back up sniper.

I am an assault player, for sure. It is so great to be assault, run up and scare the heck out of the guys on the other team who are hiding behind their bunkers.

I am also the squad leader of my team, (Team Red Dawn) and lead them in troop positioning and advancement on enemy positions.

Is it just me, or have there been several other polls just like this one?
