hey I am just lookin at getting a side arm to use with my VFC m4 or a gun that a friend can use when he comes over...
I am looking at these right now so u can give me info on these or can suggest new (small AEG or of that sort). I have a $120 max ;-)
I am aiming for small so I can easily swap it out in a battle. but also want decant quality (one thats not going to break in 2 weeks) although I know its not going to be problem free because of price. I am particularly interested in the pistol..

Well you certainly don't want to carry another AEG. Go for a pistol, however don't get that one. Look at WE or KJW pistols.

don't buy an HFC.
Buy a KJW or a WE.

and if you want an AEG, then go AEP

WE Pistol with 2 mags, good pistol

that would give the friend a good amount of firepower plus it would make a good sidearm

A WE pistol can hit a target at 50-70 m, so I second the WE pistol idea.

The KJW 1911's and m9's are also quite impressive.

I very much doubt that a WE pistol is picking people off at 160 feet, let alone 230. Did you by any chance mean to say 50-70 feet?

My brother (which is far better than me at aiming) did hit something like this from far, 50m was just a guess, will give a more precise number when I come home this friday, but it's at least 40 meters.

If you want another gun, f--k it and get another AEG. If you want a loaner, another AEG wouldn't hurt, either. A side arm? AEG with an AEG back up? I say why the hell not! Haha. It wouldn't be too practical, but it'd make you scary.

If he wants a reliable side-arm, he should probably go KJW or KWA. WE doesn;t have proper QC, and their internals are not made very well, and they are simply notorious for being gas hogs.


Meh. Their mags are QUITE leaky. Actually, very leaky. I would use a TM single stack in a WE, if I were to ever buy ANOTHER one.


No. My highly upgraded KSC, running a tightbore barrel cab just barely hit 50 meters. No way a stock WE can.


Thats much more likely. I only reached around 65 feet max when my WE was working (for a whole 3 hours)

I think the OP should get a KWA. They are practically made for skirmishing. Good gas consumption, strong metal bodies, and decently accurate.

If you got the ca$h, get a TM. Their hop-ups are MUCH better than any other brand listed here. There is also an endless list of cheap upgrades that can make a big difference. High flows and your BB's will go blazing out of that gun. Recoil spring would return the slide much faster, resulting in a stronger recoil, and faster follow-up shots. A simple hammer spring would make your valve knocker strike the gas release harder, and faster, resulting in more shots, faster, and a better FPS.

I like the kjw mk1 pistol to be honest I have owned one for 4 years now and it has never given me problems

Non-Blowbacks have less moving parts, and are known to be more reliable (depending on the retailer.)

Another good suggestion, seeing as how they're cheap, and can last up to 100-150 shots without needing a refill

A cheap, reliable, low maintenance sidearm would be an AEP. You'll never have to worry about leaky mags or running out of propane or expensive mags. They perform decently, but yes are outperformed by *good* GBB's.

It could be a lucky shot...im just saying.
