Could you make it to where you can choose multiple choices?

Well this is pretty stupid... I've seen a kid with a Boyi M4 LPEG and an el cheapo Condor/surplus Marine impression play hardcore two day ops.
I've also seen a guy with a VFC BAR and EI gear play what's best described as Rockstar-n-Beer Paintsoft.

That being said, I see no point in this thread. You might be able to find a sort of correlation between price, equipment, and play style if you were to separate the first question into three parts.


Adding more to the ridiculous uselessness of this thread: I use "authentic" gear, yet I fall under "hardcore", not "milsim". Please inform me as to the sense in this thread.

No shotgun option?

I'll ad it ASAP. My mind went blank when I typed up that option for some reason

I don't really see why shotgun should be an option, you have a bunch of specific types of assault rifles, then the shotgun option, it would make more sense if you added each type of shotgun, or at least add the sniper rifle option to make me happy :)

According to this, I'm a Newbie 'cause I don't use BDUs (I run PMC impressions).

If you want us to do both, you should add a link. I know that now both polls are right at the top of the "Voting & Polls" section, but later on they may get seperated, so people might not be able to find the other one.

Also, BDU only refers to M81 Woodland. Just say "Do you wear civilian clothing (non-PMC)?" and change the next section to "If no, then what camo pattern do you use?"

With polls its hard to get the choices spot on, for most polls his choices are pretty excellent. They are more like guidelines anyway, helps us see what level everyone here is playing at.

I use a mix of top quality and real gear, my vest is Paraclete, knee pads Bijans, riggers belt eagle, one double mag holster fobus, and Triple Mag pouch is eagle. My dual mag pouch, and drop pouch is pantac, and my MAP is Flyye. My P90 pouches are condor.

I use DMARPAT, Woodland MARPAT, and OD.

The choices are fine, but they're too bunched together. In this thread the OP assumes that if you use a low end gun you play passively, and if you own a high end gun you're dedicated. And the gear part just makes it worse. The first question should be how frequently you play. The second question should be if you use an LPEG, MPEG, high end AEG, low/mid range other or high-end other. Then the third question should be what type of gear you use. There are redundancies, too; The first question eliminates the need for the third question, whereas the first question shouldn't include gear at all. The best polls are those that can address everyone, and if you don't fit into the stereotypes set in this thread it makes it impossible for you to vote.

This thread was just too ambitious an idea with too little thought. This thread is all of seven hours old, so it's not too late to salvage something...


Oh, and how often you go to an event has nothing to do with "MILSIM"... MILSIM is a play style.

consider myself a "hardcore" airsofter.

I have to agree with Kav though, this thread was not very thought-out... I've
pretty much seen similar occurrences to what Kav described.

There's a whole bunch of people on this forum are 14 year olds that just buys a jg mpeg and play Airsoft in their backyard with BDU pants and a cross draw vest they bought on Amazon for $30 then they just shoot each other in their backyard and post their games on youtube all in the while making airsoft look just like a game only played in backyards

then they go on youtube saying that they play REAL airsoft

so yeah there you go

plus I hate little kids at Mil Sim events it ruins the entire mood and atmosphere; no matter how mature they are their high pitch voices just turns it into xbox live mw2

Ha! I'm the only one rockin tigerstripe so far, also selling my m4 next week and ordering a king arms m1a1, so other. In a few months ill be getting some 'nam gear.

It depends on where I am and what is required but I have the ability to switch between ACU, Woodland, 3 Color Desert, Black and PMC. Almost forgot...hand-made ghillie too.

The question should allow multiple answers.

just don't like the first question, I can go out once or twice a month and have high end stuff or play 10 times a month with medium gear ect. should make it 2 part, such as how often/ then a lpeg,mpeg, ect

Most of what I've spent on airsoft is hardware components for projects. Kwiksteel gets expencive after just a few tubes...


My primary is mainly a G3 SAS, but I'm in the process of phasing out my use of electrics with CO2 rifles. Currently have a working M1A1 Carbine built from a NBB pistol.

X-Camo (digital multicam) best camo available for outdoor/woodland style play. Just wish they pump more of their stuff out and not make me wait almost and entire year en counting for a boonie hat I already paid for!
