Hey guys, can any o fyou tell me what scope is on this gun? How much do they go for and is it worth it or should I get a holographic red dot instead?
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5952 Are their any holographic red dotes that come with a laser button attached to the side to use a laaswer pointer? |

what do you mean by Holo scope?
As for that specific scope, a red dot is a red dot. -------------------- ![]() ![]() "The ARMY is like the Boy Scouts, They have a patch for EVERYTHING" |

Most SF'ers going out for CQB I saw were carrying these Aimpoints, as opposed to an EOTech holo. It seems that most guys I saw using EOTechs were either newbies, or chairborne commandos who never even saw CQB. There are pros and cons for both, but there are a lot of reports of EOTechs being pretty fragile and crapping out in the field from even mild use. The Aimpoints are a lot tougher. The problem with Aimpoints is that they require a sometimes awkward cheek weld in order to properly aim through them, whereas the EOTechs can be utilised from many angles and distances with equal ease. We couldn't even get EOTechs back in 06-07, so I usually used an Aimpoint M68 CCO, or on rare occasions, a TA31 ACOG.

Do you now exactly the brand name and model name of that Aimpoint I showed in the link? Also. from your knowledge, what is the best overall holographic scope? Besides the 300-400$ which Is too much for me |

The problem I had with my Aimpoint was a low field of view. You couldn't see anything outside the scope which I don't like. The best EO Tech your going to get is a real one. Other then that, Hurricane and G&P. Do NOT buy any no name China Brands.

You serious dude? The description on the sale post on ASGI says:
QD Cantilever Mount Red Dot Sight ^to the guy above. Chinese knockoffs LATELY, are just as good of quality for half the price. I have a chinese knockoff ACOG and Eotech and they both work and look flawless I have a replica M3 aimpoint that isn't a higher brand and I don't know the brand but is most likely a Chinese replica which functions just as well and I have had 0 problems yet. -------------------- 2012 Clean-out Sale Tons of goodies! Check it out!!

Ok coo. I think Im going to buy both and use them on different occasions. Do you now exactly the brand name and model name of that Aimpoint I showed in the link? It doesn't say in the listing you linked. Just says "red dot sight". But I'd guess it's a cheap copy of the standard military COMPM2 CCO: http://www.aimpoint.com/o.o.I.s?id=47&...p;product_id=19 . There are quite a few on the market, but I have no experience with the copies in order to comment on them. QUOTE Also. from your knowledge, what is the best overall holographic scope? Besides the 300-400$ which Is too much for me As others have pointed out, the Hurricane models have the best reputation for functional excellence. The only drawback I see with them is that they do not have authentic EOTech trademarkings, which most people don't care about anyhow. The 553 is currently the favourite of military. Watching your budget with scopes is probably a smart idea, considering what I just saw in the thread about BB damage from hot guns. In CQB, the chances of taking a round to your expensive glass is probably a big concern. This post has been edited by GI Jew: Feb 4 2010, 08:27 PM -------------------- |

Do you recommend to buy used or new scopes? What is a hot gun? |

Do you guys think its worth buy the EOLAD for the Holo scope?
For those who don't know what "EOLAD," is, its basically this devise that goes over the holo scope which provides a laser beam to use as guidance. Its 75$ not including the scope. The scope is another 80$ |

Wow.... Don't triple post...
A hotgun is a gun that has a high fps. Anything above 350 FPS is considered hot for cqb. The Hurricane model is an eotech style. You can buy a NEW eotech Chinese replica on the WTS threads. They go for about 50-80$ depending on which scope you want. T-tiger is the one selling them. As for the EOLAD, waste of money if you ask me. -------------------- ![]() |

you can get a decent green laser that would be adjustable for the same price, so it probably wouldnt be in your best interest to get the eolad cover.
if you want to be reassured of a china eotech's quality, try the ones at dragonredairsoft.com, ive seen numerous reviews of their eotechs, they have 10 brightness levels instead of 5, no ghosting, etc. -------------------- Professional PMG.
