We're looking for individuals and team leaders to help us create some videos to promote AirsoftForum.com and we want to upload them to YouTube.com. In return we are willing to give you your own sub-forum or team forum here on ASF where you have control over the conversations and can moderate your own areas.

If you are capable of creating and editing quality videos, and you are mature enough to post quality videos that portray an overall positive and safe Airsoft environment as well as adhere to our rules and guidelines, then you are also qualified to moderate your own forums here on ASF. If you can do all of this, not only will you be allowed to moderate your own team forum sections, but we will grant you ASF moderator access in other parts of this website as well if this is something you want to do and think you’re up to the task.

This YouTube idea was suggested by serano in the following thread: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Asf-Youtube-t101406.html and we think it’s a great idea except we don’t have anyone to create the videos.

If this is something you are interested in, we suggest that the proposed videos are no more than 3 to 5 minutes in length. We also need a written overview, summary or commentary about the video preferably about 1 - 2 paragraphs in length (or longer) so that people know what is in the video before watching it. This also gives people something to search when looking for videos.

Your videos can be events, games, reviews or basically anything really. We’ll review it and upload it to YouTube as well as create a topic for discussion of the video or event. At the end of the video, you would need to say something like the following examples:

Anything like that should be fine; you just want to give the viewer information and a website address where to go at the end of the video. You may also want to list credits at the end of your video such as your team players, camera man, who edited the video, where the field is, who supplied the gun, etc. Then after all that, suggest a URL to ASF.

If you want to help us out with this, we can give you your own sub forum here if you want or need a place for your team to organize. If you want to consolidate some other forum or website that is hosted elsewhere and bring all that over here, that is fine too. We get a ton of traffic and consolidating your website into a team forum here might be a way for your local group to really take off. If you don’t have a team, but want a place to talk about your videos – that should be fine too once you’re approved.

The only catch is that I would like to see what you’re capable of creating before we create a forum for you and turn you loose with moderator powers. The videos will be reviewed before going live and if you have a website or profile where we can evaluate your work or your post history or even a Myspace profile – that would be great.

I know what some of you are thinking.. “Why do all this if you already have your own videos on YouTube’? Well maybe you’d like to help us promote ASF and still take credit for making the video? Maybe you need a forum for your team that is already established in order to really bring in a lot of new members. Maybe you have some great videos but you just can’t seem to get traffic or people interested in them by yourself? Maybe you are willing to edit some of your existing video with a link to ASF because you’re retired from posting to videos to YouTube by yourself anymore. Who knows, we just like the idea that was suggested and thought it would be a great way for each of us to help one another.

If you can do all this but what has been suggested above is not really anything you need but would like something else in return for doing this – please suggest it. I’m open to ideas. If you want advertising, server space, or ? – let me know, I am sure we can work something out.

I’m excited to see what you guys are capable of. To continue this discussion, go here: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/-t102391.html
